[0:00:58 – 0:00:59] Erik: I don’t know.
[0:01:00 – 0:01:01] Erik: We’re conjugating them.
[0:01:02 – 0:01:02] Erik: Yep.
[0:01:02 – 0:01:08] Erik: See, I am fully prepared to go to Mexico because I know what y’all is in Spanish.
[0:01:08 – 0:01:09] Erik: I almost said Mexican.
[0:01:10 – 0:01:11] Adam: You checked it up.
[0:01:12 – 0:01:12] Erik: You checked it up.
[0:01:12 – 0:01:13] Erik: Fully ready.
[0:01:13 – 0:01:15] Adam: Yeah, you’re ready to cross the border.
[0:01:16 – 0:01:16] Adam: Yes.
[0:01:16 – 0:01:18] Adam: The southern border waters.
[0:01:19 – 0:01:20] Erik: Southern border.
[0:01:20 – 0:01:22] Adam: Just a dry river.
[0:01:22 – 0:01:23] Adam: Yep.
[0:01:24 – 0:01:25] Adam: It’s a river of dust.
[0:01:28 – 0:01:45] Adam: uh tonight we are uh of course tumble home after dark oh my well after dark it’s a foggy thick one out there soupy i had to use two headlights to find the shit oh thanks for reminding me one on top on the head one in hand
[0:01:46 – 0:01:46] Adam: Dang.
[0:01:47 – 0:01:50] Adam: Double H. Double headlamp.
[0:01:50 – 0:01:52] Adam: My favorite wrestler.
[0:01:52 – 0:01:57] Erik: Double H. It was triple H. What’s the third H?
[0:01:57 – 0:01:58] Erik: Two thirds of a man.
[0:01:59 – 0:01:59] Erik: Double H.
[0:02:01 – 0:02:04] Erik: Yeah, I have to put my hands on a headlamp still.
[0:02:04 – 0:02:11] Erik: I’m two days away at this point from being out in the dark, pitch black Canadian wilderness that is Quetico.
[0:02:11 – 0:02:13] Erik: The moon’s only getting darker, Eric.
[0:02:13 – 0:02:15] Erik: The moon is only getting darker.
[0:02:15 – 0:02:19] Erik: It’s waning and I don’t know where a headlamp is.
[0:02:19 – 0:02:20] Erik: I don’t know.
[0:02:20 – 0:02:26] Adam: At least you have a silky boy katana saw at your disposal.
[0:02:26 – 0:02:35] Erik: Yeah, I asked you before coming to the shed if I could borrow it for the trip, and then I came into the shed, and I saw it, and I was just like, oh, man, that’s a chunker.
[0:02:35 – 0:02:37] Adam: That’s a serious saw.
[0:02:38 – 0:02:38] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:02:39 – 0:02:43] Adam: Our friends may be bringing a more normal-sized saw.
[0:02:43 – 0:02:44] Adam: I was like, that’s a toy.
[0:02:45 – 0:02:47] Adam: You’re bringing a real weapon against the wood here.
[0:02:47 – 0:02:49] Erik: A katana boy.
[0:02:49 – 0:02:50] Adam: Yeah, so…
[0:02:51 – 0:02:53] Erik: Yeah, and I have…
[0:02:53 – 0:02:57] Adam: I guarantee you’re going to have some… You’re probably going to have a couple fires up there in Quetico.
[0:02:57 – 0:02:58] Erik: I imagine.
[0:02:58 – 0:03:04] Erik: I think it’s probably going to be our primary way of food for ourselves.
[0:03:05 – 0:03:07] Erik: And I was mentioning this to you before the show.
[0:03:08 – 0:03:13] Erik: It seems like it’s the go-to saw for participants on the latest season of Alone.
[0:03:13 – 0:03:15] Erik: How many seasons of Alone are there now?
[0:03:15 – 0:03:16] Erik: Nine.
[0:03:16 – 0:03:16] Erik: Wow.
[0:03:17 – 0:03:18] Erik: The last one that is…
[0:03:18 – 0:03:23] Erik: I have not finished it, so don’t spoil it for me, anybody out there.
[0:03:24 – 0:03:25] Erik: They’re calling in.
[0:03:25 – 0:03:26] Erik: The phone’s ringing.
[0:03:26 – 0:03:28] Erik: But yeah, they seem to love the Katana.
[0:03:30 – 0:03:31] Erik: Is it Silky Boy is the brand?
[0:03:31 – 0:03:32] Erik: Silky?
[0:03:32 – 0:03:32] Adam: Yeah.
[0:03:32 – 0:03:35] Erik: And the version you have is the Katana Boy.
[0:03:36 – 0:03:36] Adam: Yes.
[0:03:36 – 0:03:37] Erik: Yeah.
[0:03:37 – 0:03:38] Erik: Which is, I believe, the largest?
[0:03:39 – 0:03:39] Erik: Sí.
[0:03:39 – 0:03:40] Adam: Sí.
[0:03:40 – 0:03:40] Adam: Señor.
[0:03:42 – 0:03:45] Adam: Yeah, I think the biggest one money can buy.
[0:03:46 – 0:03:49] Adam: When I bought it, I described it as a hand chainsaw.
[0:03:51 – 0:03:53] Adam: And I think that still stands.
[0:03:53 – 0:03:53] Erik: Nice.
[0:03:54 – 0:03:54] Erik: Okay.
[0:03:54 – 0:03:56] Adam: It does good work.
[0:03:56 – 0:03:58] Adam: I don’t have a chainsaw.
[0:03:58 – 0:03:58] Adam: I just have that.
[0:03:59 – 0:04:22] Erik: well we won’t dwell because you haven’t seen it it would be a fun conversation to have if we both had maybe uh in the future we can talk about the thoughts on the alone the idea of it yeah but this last uh this ninth season they’re in british columbia and some crazy lake in the mountains and it’s like it’s always with the british columbians basically always the columbians british style
[0:04:24 – 0:04:33] Erik: But I feel like there’s a guy on there and I haven’t watched much alone, but this one like guy from Oregon, it almost seems like he might be from like the Pacific, like a Pacific Islander.
[0:04:34 – 0:04:35] Erik: He’s like a bigger dude.
[0:04:35 – 0:04:42] Erik: He’s got like big black hair and he sings to himself a lot, but like his strategy and I have no idea if it’s going to pay off.
[0:04:42 – 0:04:43] Erik: He’s still currently in it.
[0:04:44 – 0:04:47] Erik: He just like put on a ton of weight before going on the show.
[0:04:48 – 0:04:50] Erik: And so like, and he, he,
[0:04:50 – 0:05:05] Erik: is seemingly just like content to basically just lose all of the weight and not like not gonna do anything yeah kind of he seems like he’s just gonna hunker down yeah i mean he is trying to like fish and do stuff but he’s not really doing trying too hard basically just hanging out
[0:05:07 – 0:05:30] Erik: and it’s like day 50 and he’s like still like got like some good like fat on him and he’s just like yeah i if i can still grab meat i’m good and it’s like wow that’s kind of a yeah i don’t know how i feel about that as a strategy though like just like not even really like you’re barely surviving you’re just like living off of fatten them up and hunker down pasta that you ate like two months ago
[0:05:31 – 0:05:32] Adam: I didn’t think that I’ve seen that.
[0:05:32 – 0:05:37] Adam: I think I’ve only seen the first two seasons, and I don’t think anybody was doing that.
[0:05:38 – 0:05:38] Adam: Yeah.
[0:05:39 – 0:05:42] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:05:42 – 0:05:43] Adam: Yeah, I like the show.
[0:05:43 – 0:05:47] Erik: Yeah, it might be a fun extended TCC we could do later this fall.
[0:05:47 – 0:05:48] Erik: Oh, wow.
[0:05:48 – 0:05:49] Adam: Yeah, we should have done one live.
[0:05:50 – 0:05:51] Erik: It’s a lot, though.
[0:05:51 – 0:05:52] Adam: It’s 12 episodes.
[0:05:52 – 0:05:54] Adam: They’re all an hour long.
[0:05:54 – 0:05:55] Adam: Yeah, that’s too much.
[0:05:55 – 0:05:57] Adam: Do the condensed version, please.
[0:05:57 – 0:06:00] Adam: Yeah, I’m sure there’s a couple of YouTube videos that you can see.
[0:06:00 – 0:06:01] Erik: It’s metal, and you’re long.
[0:06:02 – 0:06:04] Adam: Whole season in 45 minutes.
[0:06:04 – 0:06:04] Adam: Yeah.
[0:06:06 – 0:06:10] Adam: He used to be fat, and now I’m bones.
[0:06:10 – 0:06:13] Adam: Yeah, it’s the old alone diet.
[0:06:14 – 0:06:15] Adam: Yeah, there you go.
[0:06:15 – 0:06:20] Erik: Just go into the woods and build a shack out of wood with your old katana boy.
[0:06:20 – 0:06:20] Adam: Yeah, I love it.
[0:06:20 – 0:06:27] Erik: This episode of Tumble Home is brought to you by Silky Brand Saws and a couple of mystery beers.
[0:06:29 – 0:06:33] Adam: Well, we don’t know what they are exactly, but we do know something about them.
[0:06:34 – 0:06:45] Adam: We’ve got ourselves tonight’s beer sponsorship of the shed is from Inner Grove Brewing Co. Inver.
[0:06:45 – 0:06:49] Adam: And these were brought to us by Ted.
[0:06:49 – 0:06:50] Adam: Thank you, Ted.
[0:06:51 – 0:06:52] Adam: Got a business card.
[0:06:52 – 0:06:54] Adam: What is that, bone?
[0:06:54 – 0:06:56] Adam: Give out his phone, his bone.
[0:06:56 – 0:06:58] Adam: Got a nice business card taped right to these.
[0:06:59 – 0:07:01] Adam: It’s two big crawlers.
[0:07:01 – 0:07:02] Adam: Big.
[0:07:03 – 0:07:05] Adam: And it’s with a Sharpie.
[0:07:05 – 0:07:09] Adam: You know, everybody out there knows we love the Sharpied label on a crawler.
[0:07:09 – 0:07:10] Adam: Nothing beats it.
[0:07:11 – 0:07:18] Adam: This is old number 100, 6.6% ABV, packaged on January of this year.
[0:07:19 – 0:07:27] Adam: So now I think we’re all, because I put them in order, so I think we don’t have any more beer sponsors left from 2021 at this point, Eric.
[0:07:27 – 0:07:28] Adam: We’ve done pretty good.
[0:07:28 – 0:07:29] Erik: We don’t have any COVID sponsors.
[0:07:30 – 0:07:54] Adam: but we don’t know what kind of beer it is we don’t it doesn’t really say what a number 100 is well we’re gonna find out it’s only six six though so i like that it’s got the big plastic holdy fold holdy told on there too i guess i get the one with the ted’s business card on it we’re not gonna review what his business is but he’s in business he sounds lovely oh god beer everywhere
[0:07:54 – 0:07:55] Adam: All over the laptop.
[0:07:55 – 0:07:58] Adam: Viewer, update that Adobe, please.
[0:07:58 – 0:07:59] Erik: It’s all over the screen.
[0:07:59 – 0:08:00] Erik: It looks brown.
[0:08:00 – 0:08:02] Adam: Give me a big old…
[0:08:02 – 0:08:02] Erik: There we go.
[0:08:02 – 0:08:04] Erik: Let’s see if we can figure out what it is.
[0:08:04 – 0:08:05] Erik: I swear to God, if it’s a stout…
[0:08:06 – 0:08:08] Adam: It’s white wine, Eric.
[0:08:12 – 0:08:27] Erik: one a crowler of inver grove one number 100 six i mean it tastes like a pale like a hazy pale ale maybe maybe it’s pretty light yeah i mean last last week we were drinking that bush ripple
[0:08:27 – 0:08:28] Adam: Oh, no, that was two weeks ago.
[0:08:28 – 0:08:29] Adam: It was the Bush Light.
[0:08:30 – 0:08:31] UNKNOWN: Bush.
[0:08:32 – 0:08:34] Adam: Somebody was throwing shade at Bush Light.
[0:08:34 – 0:08:35] Adam: I was like, come on.
[0:08:35 – 0:08:54] Erik: Dad, I don’t know how much track you’ve been keeping on the beer sponsorships, but I did go through because, spoiler or not, because I’m sure the title of this episode will, I literally have to wipe this computer because it’s dripping down into the mainframe.
[0:08:54 – 0:08:55] Erik: Don’t go to the motherboard.
[0:08:56 – 0:08:56] Erik: Screen’s fine.
[0:08:57 – 0:08:58] Erik: Yeah, the motherboard.
[0:08:59 – 0:08:59] Erik: Not fine.
[0:08:59 – 0:09:00] Adam: Friar A4 chip.
[0:09:00 – 0:09:01] Adam: Blood.
[0:09:01 – 0:09:02] Adam: Hey, bud.
[0:09:03 – 0:09:08] Erik: Yes, but spoiler, this is one of maybe two?
[0:09:08 – 0:09:09] Erik: Hard to say.
[0:09:09 – 0:09:12] Erik: A trivia episode?
[0:09:13 – 0:09:14] Erik: Tumble.
[0:09:14 – 0:09:42] Erik: trivia and i kind of was thinking of going through and doing something based on like our beer sponsorships but there just wasn’t enough there oh but i did learn i found out do you know who which brewery has sponsored us the most is this part of the game already no no we’re not getting there but pregame are you squid gaming me here is this a real deal well see i am not aware of squid game or how that uh how that game works but i believe everybody makes it out alive
[0:09:42 – 0:09:45] Adam: I think pretty much everybody hunky dory.
[0:09:45 – 0:09:47] Adam: I think is what they say in Korean.
[0:09:47 – 0:09:47] Erik: Yeah.
[0:09:47 – 0:09:49] Erik: And that’s why there’s going to be a second season.
[0:09:49 – 0:09:49] Adam: Right.
[0:09:49 – 0:09:52] Adam: Cause they all got to get back together, get the band back together.
[0:09:52 – 0:09:59] Adam: Um, how many, uh, the number one brewing brewing number one brewery.
[0:09:59 – 0:10:00] Erik: Yeah.
[0:10:02 – 0:10:15] Adam: um i was probably surly it is okay yeah and i held it i win what do you tell him what he’s won you win more drinks of the beer sponsor trevor what have i won he’s looking at he’s shaking his head
[0:10:16 – 0:10:20] Erik: He’s just pointing at the Brother Andrew commemorative chair in the corner.
[0:10:20 – 0:10:21] Adam: Don’t know what that means.
[0:10:21 – 0:10:23] Adam: Doing the thumb across the throat move.
[0:10:23 – 0:10:24] Erik: Yeah.
[0:10:24 – 0:10:25] Adam: What the hell?
[0:10:25 – 0:10:26] Adam: Trevern.
[0:10:27 – 0:10:28] Adam: Yeah, it’s early.
[0:10:29 – 0:10:30] Adam: I figured it’s probably what.
[0:10:30 – 0:10:32] Adam: So for the bonus point, how many?
[0:10:32 – 0:10:33] Erik: Five or six.
[0:10:33 – 0:10:34] Adam: Okay.
[0:10:34 – 0:10:37] Erik: Furious twice at least, maybe three times.
[0:10:37 – 0:10:39] Erik: And then there was a bunch of them.
[0:10:39 – 0:10:40] Erik: I kind of went back and scrolled through.
[0:10:40 – 0:10:43] Erik: There was some that like, remember Extra Citra?
[0:10:43 – 0:10:45] Adam: Yeah, that was a thing.
[0:10:45 – 0:10:46] Erik: Yeah, that was one of them.
[0:10:47 – 0:10:49] Erik: Surly Sleek was one of them.
[0:10:50 – 0:11:00] Erik: And then if you want to count the ghost sponsorship, the Surly can that had the label over it that I peeled off and it was a different beer, but it was still furious, extra foamy.
[0:11:01 – 0:11:23] Erik: yeah i had um i had another one like that lately too what was going on here leftovers from the supply chain issues how much longer can we use that as an excuse for not having things but then i also did see the beer that has sponsored the show like a specific kind of beer the most was any guesses
[0:11:25 – 0:11:27] Adam: The most specific?
[0:11:28 – 0:11:31] Erik: An individual beer, not just like a brewery.
[0:11:32 – 0:11:32] Erik: Two-hearted.
[0:11:33 – 0:11:34] Erik: Yeah, there you go.
[0:11:34 – 0:11:35] Erik: I am on point.
[0:11:35 – 0:11:36] Erik: I know my beer.
[0:11:36 – 0:11:37] Erik: I don’t know.
[0:11:37 – 0:11:43] Erik: I mean, you do feel like you were on your game, so trivia tonight could be a challenge because it is competitive trivia.
[0:11:43 – 0:11:47] Adam: Yeah, that’s right.
[0:11:47 – 0:11:51] Adam: I smoked some really special vape.
[0:11:51 – 0:11:52] Adam: Mind-sharpening vape.
[0:11:52 – 0:11:54] Adam: So you’ve got metal in your brain now, too?
[0:11:54 – 0:11:56] Adam: This is a screamer.
[0:11:56 – 0:11:59] Adam: I paddled my screamer out here.
[0:12:00 – 0:12:02] Adam: I took some screamers and some whistlers.
[0:12:02 – 0:12:03] Adam: And some laughers.
[0:12:03 – 0:12:05] Adam: I just got a few things from the quick trip, that’s all.
[0:12:06 – 0:12:07] Adam: But I’m ready to go.
[0:12:07 – 0:12:08] Adam: I’m amped up.
[0:12:08 – 0:12:09] Erik: What are you going to give this mystery?
[0:12:09 – 0:12:14] Adam: I’m trying to look up what the hell a number 100 is, but I can’t even find inner grove brewing.
[0:12:14 – 0:12:17] Adam: I’m stuck on inner groove brewing from Pittsburgh.
[0:12:17 – 0:12:21] Erik: I don’t understand why you’re not pronouncing the V. It’s Invergrove.
[0:12:21 – 0:12:22] Erik: Groove.
[0:12:23 – 0:12:23] Erik: Inner groove.
[0:12:24 – 0:12:27] Adam: Anyhow, I don’t know what the number 100 is.
[0:12:28 – 0:12:29] Adam: I’ll give it a 100 out of 100.
[0:12:30 – 0:12:30] Adam: Thanks, Ted.
[0:12:31 – 0:12:31] Adam: 100 out of 100?
[0:12:32 – 0:12:35] Adam: Damn, that might be the highest beer score you’ve ever given in terms of numbers.
[0:12:35 – 0:12:37] Adam: That’s a TCC score there.
[0:12:37 – 0:12:38] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:12:39 – 0:12:41] Adam: I don’t think anybody’s taking the scores too seriously.
[0:12:41 – 0:12:42] Adam: I got nothing.
[0:12:42 – 0:12:45] Adam: I don’t even know what it is, honestly.
[0:12:45 – 0:12:46] Adam: What do you think it is?
[0:12:47 – 0:12:49] Erik: Who’s not taking the scores seriously?
[0:12:49 – 0:12:52] Adam: Hopalicious is floored by this news.
[0:12:53 – 0:13:20] Adam: unbelievable what kind of a beer do i think it is or what is my grade yeah no what do you first of all what do you think it is and yeah and what is your grade i would like to know i mean i think it’s like a it’s like a lightish pale like a hazy pale ale it’s like a session ale i think session hmm 6.6 doesn’t have a lot of it doesn’t have a ton of bite on it for six six 10 months old pretty smooth uh i don’t know it’s a sucker for a big can
[0:13:20 – 0:13:22] Erik: Yeah, I am a sucker for a big can too.
[0:13:22 – 0:13:27] Erik: I’m going to give it 66 question marks out of 100 because I don’t know what it is.
[0:13:27 – 0:13:29] Adam: So that’ll balance out our score.
[0:13:29 – 0:13:29] Adam: Yeah.
[0:13:29 – 0:13:30] Adam: Do a nice even 80.
[0:13:31 – 0:13:31] Adam: Somewhere in there.
[0:13:31 – 0:13:32] Adam: Something like that.
[0:13:33 – 0:13:34] Erik: Mathematics.
[0:13:35 – 0:13:36] Erik: No entiendo.
[0:13:36 – 0:13:45] Adam: Tonight’s Tumble Home outdoor calendar fact of the day for September 17th, 2022.
[0:13:46 – 0:13:46] Adam: Nailed it.
[0:13:46 – 0:13:48] Adam: Harry Styles has four nipples.
[0:13:49 – 0:13:51] Adam: Sunset is at 719 PM.
[0:13:51 – 0:13:51] Adam: He’s a witch.
[0:13:53 – 0:13:56] Erik: You made that up.
[0:13:56 – 0:13:56] Erik: No, it’s true.
[0:13:57 – 0:13:57] Erik: It’s a rock fact.
[0:13:58 – 0:13:58] Adam: Where are they?
[0:14:02 – 0:14:25] Adam: oh the other extra bonus to her just lower just lower directly below like a kitten or any kind of a mammal with multiple extra nipples yeah i mean well you’re thinking about the abnormal amount of nipples think about that actually is abnormal for man you freak we should have many more yeah what happened
[0:14:26 – 0:14:50] Erik: yeah we should be like the climb down from the trees and lost all our nipples the one one big disgrace a total recall alien that has the four breasts remember her of course yugga yugga yeah yeah so if you had to super glue uh an orifice on your body closed for the rest of your life which one would you choose
[0:14:53 – 0:14:56] Adam: Well, can I just do like one nostril?
[0:14:56 – 0:14:58] Erik: I think that’s the go-to answer at this point.
[0:14:58 – 0:15:02] Adam: I don’t even have a very good sense of smell, so I’d just close off one nostril.
[0:15:03 – 0:15:03] Adam: Is that all right?
[0:15:03 – 0:15:04] Adam: I think that’s okay.
[0:15:04 – 0:15:07] Adam: Or are you plugging it up like inside the nose where they converge?
[0:15:08 – 0:15:10] Erik: No, I mean, that’s… No no’s.
[0:15:10 – 0:15:25] Erik: No, I think you have to, I mean, I guess you could challenge it, make it a little bit more challenging, but then it kind of comes down to, like, which sense would you prefer to lose, which, I don’t know, that question is also interesting, but not as interesting, but I think it’s the goat, like…
[0:15:26 – 0:15:27] Erik: I don’t think there’s any chakras in the nose.
[0:15:27 – 0:15:32] Erik: I’ve been asking around, strangers, people I know, and it seems like the go-to is one nostril.
[0:15:33 – 0:15:33] Erik: Oh, really?
[0:15:33 – 0:15:34] Erik: Mm-hmm.
[0:15:34 – 0:15:34] Erik: Yeah.
[0:15:34 – 0:15:35] Erik: It just makes sense.
[0:15:35 – 0:15:41] Erik: I did have somebody say one ear because then you could sleep on the open one and… Oh, sweet, sweet.
[0:15:41 – 0:15:42] Erik: Sweet, sweet silence.
[0:15:42 – 0:15:43] Adam: Sweet dreams.
[0:15:43 – 0:15:45] Adam: Nightmares can’t catch you here.
[0:15:45 – 0:15:48] Erik: No, not with that closed, super glued, shut ear.
[0:15:48 – 0:15:51] Erik: Anybody try and get away with belly button?
[0:15:52 – 0:15:56] Erik: I mean, I don’t think that would necessarily be defined as an opening in the body.
[0:15:58 – 0:15:58] Adam: That’s where…
[0:15:58 – 0:15:59] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:16:00 – 0:16:00] Erik: Not anymore.
[0:16:00 – 0:16:02] Erik: I would hope not.
[0:16:02 – 0:16:05] Erik: I guess unless there’s somebody out there with like a colostomy bag, they could choose that one.
[0:16:06 – 0:16:06] Erik: That would be terrible.
[0:16:06 – 0:16:08] Adam: No, you can’t do that then, though.
[0:16:08 – 0:16:09] Adam: That would really mess you up.
[0:16:09 – 0:16:17] Erik: Yeah, I mean, and that is the… Those are the… Everybody kind of goes there, too, with that question to think about what it would be like to close up the lower unit.
[0:16:17 – 0:16:18] Erik: No butts.
[0:16:18 – 0:16:19] Erik: The oil drain.
[0:16:19 – 0:16:28] Erik: Yeah, I don’t think you’d last very long by closing up either one of those.
[0:16:29 – 0:16:29] Adam: Yeah.
[0:16:30 – 0:16:32] Adam: Well, stick around and stay tuned.
[0:16:32 – 0:16:36] Adam: We posted a link for the 2023 Tomahawk Outdoor Calendar.
[0:16:37 – 0:16:40] Adam: I’m going to do it 100% digital.
[0:16:41 – 0:16:41] Adam: Nice.
[0:16:41 – 0:16:42] Adam: Virtual reality.
[0:16:42 – 0:16:43] Adam: What?
[0:16:43 – 0:16:44] Adam: It’s the wave of the future, dude.
[0:16:44 – 0:16:46] Erik: Is it going to be in the metaverse?
[0:16:46 – 0:16:52] Adam: I don’t know, but it’s definitely not going to be a print version of the Dilbert cartoons in between.
[0:16:52 – 0:16:54] Erik: Oh, but Dilbert, he’s so sardonic.
[0:16:56 – 0:17:00] Adam: Anyways, I’m still working on it, but, I mean, clearly we’ve started.
[0:17:00 – 0:17:01] Adam: So I’m just gathering facts.
[0:17:01 – 0:17:05] Adam: If anybody out there has got any good outdoor calendar facts, I’m all ears.
[0:17:05 – 0:17:14] Adam: Hit us up on Instagram in the DMs, tumblehomecast at instagram.com or tumblehomecast at gmail.com.
[0:17:14 – 0:17:16] Adam: Send your outdoor calendar facts in.
[0:17:16 – 0:17:19] Adam: If you’d like them considered, the committee is open-minded.
[0:17:20 – 0:17:26] Erik: For September 17th, 2023, the fact of the day is 9 out of 10 people would prefer to have one nostril glued shut.
[0:17:27 – 0:17:28] Erik: I’m keeping track.
[0:17:28 – 0:17:30] Adam: I’m keeping track of all these things.
[0:17:30 – 0:17:35] Erik: Yeah, I’m glad you have a notebook in here because we are going to have to start keeping track of our trivia.
[0:17:35 – 0:17:37] Adam: Well, put it on the whiteboard for sure.
[0:17:37 – 0:17:37] Adam: Yeah.
[0:17:38 – 0:17:38] Adam: Trivia scores.
[0:17:38 – 0:17:42] Adam: I mean, that means I have to do it then because I’m closest to the whiteboard.
[0:17:42 – 0:17:43] Adam: We’ll write it down and we’ll transfer it to the…
[0:17:43 – 0:17:43] Adam: Okay.
[0:17:44 – 0:17:45] Adam: Yeah, I got pen and paper.
[0:17:45 – 0:17:45] Erik: All right.
[0:17:45 – 0:17:49] Adam: So, yeah, tonight is Tumble Trivia After Dark.
[0:17:49 – 0:17:50] Erik: Oh, no.
[0:17:50 – 0:17:56] Erik: We’ll leave a little silence in here for trivia theme song.
[0:17:56 – 0:17:56] Adam: Yeah.
[0:17:56 – 0:17:58] Erik: What is that, you think?
[0:18:00 – 0:18:06] Adam: It’s like a really heavy brass section, but not like Mexican-style brass.
[0:18:07 – 0:18:07] Erik: What?
[0:18:09 – 0:18:33] Erik: you know what i mean yeah yeah not that heavy brass but like um kind of like a you know a western brass light light brass a lot of brass a lot of brass yeah i can see that well whatever it’s mariachi yeah it’s like a light mariachi light mariachi light uh inio morricone okay
[0:18:36 – 0:18:41] Adam: There should probably be some nice strings music.
[0:18:41 – 0:18:43] Adam: I was thinking some big drums.
[0:18:43 – 0:18:49] Adam: Yeah, like Last of the Mohicans meets mariachi band.
[0:18:49 – 0:18:51] Adam: That’s what the theme music for this should be.
[0:18:52 – 0:18:52] Erik: Okay.
[0:18:52 – 0:19:00] Adam: It’s heavy brass, but then it’s got some really melancholy strings, but big drums and a large canoe.
[0:19:00 – 0:19:02] Erik: All right, well, we nailed it.
[0:19:02 – 0:19:09] Erik: I think that we’ll just hold fast and tight until somebody can put together that description.
[0:19:09 – 0:19:10] Erik: And then chiptune that.
[0:19:10 – 0:19:16] Adam: And then chiptune it, yeah, which takes out all of the fact that it is strings and brass and drums.
[0:19:16 – 0:19:16] Adam: You can tell.
[0:19:17 – 0:19:17] Adam: Yeah.
[0:19:17 – 0:19:18] Adam: You can tell.
[0:19:18 – 0:19:18] Adam: Yeah.
[0:19:19 – 0:19:24] Adam: So the deal behind this is you’re listening to Puck Soup, give them a shout out.
[0:19:24 – 0:19:27] Erik: Yeah, no, I wasn’t going to give them a shout out, but now apparently we are.
[0:19:28 – 0:19:29] Adam: Eric listens to them.
[0:19:29 – 0:19:30] Adam: I don’t.
[0:19:30 – 0:19:31] Adam: It’s too long.
[0:19:31 – 0:19:33] Adam: Wow.
[0:19:33 – 0:19:40] Adam: I did listen to the episode Eric sent over as part of the homework package on this.
[0:19:40 – 0:19:42] Adam: Those episodes are like two hours long.
[0:19:42 – 0:19:43] Adam: They usually aren’t that long.
[0:19:43 – 0:19:44] Erik: Who can talk for that long?
[0:19:44 – 0:19:48] Erik: And for an August hockey episode, you wouldn’t think it would be that long.
[0:19:48 – 0:19:51] Erik: It’s just one of those things that is more than anything else.
[0:19:51 – 0:19:53] Erik: I don’t know.
[0:19:53 – 0:19:54] Erik: Maybe that’s what we are.
[0:19:55 – 0:19:56] Erik: We’re just like, it’s one of those things.
[0:19:57 – 0:20:00] Erik: I’m not saying that we necessarily are, but we could be for you and I don’t mind.
[0:20:01 – 0:20:11] Erik: It’s just one of those things like half of the time, I don’t know who they’re talking about or necessarily really have much invested in it, but I’m used to the sounds of their voices and it’s just like a comfort thing.
[0:20:12 – 0:20:14] Erik: I just kind of like to have something.
[0:20:15 – 0:20:17] Erik: I just don’t want to be alone with my thoughts.
[0:20:17 – 0:20:18] Erik: Please.
[0:20:18 – 0:20:18] Erik: That’s what it is.
[0:20:19 – 0:20:22] Erik: Just don’t have the brain as active.
[0:20:24 – 0:20:25] Adam: Best of seven?
[0:20:25 – 0:20:26] Erik: Best of seven.
[0:20:26 – 0:20:36] Erik: So essentially, this is us rambling our way to a description of how this quote unquote game works.
[0:20:36 – 0:20:43] Adam: I think I understand the rules, but neither of us have really talked this through until right now is like what the rules are of the game.
[0:20:44 – 0:20:45] Adam: But I think I understand the basic premise.
[0:20:45 – 0:20:46] Adam: It’s best of seven.
[0:20:46 – 0:20:54] Erik: Yeah, so this is the first time we’ve actually sat in the same room and discussed this, looking each other deep, deep in the coley black eyes.
[0:20:55 – 0:21:07] Erik: And essentially it is trivia, but the basis of it is a little bit more – it’s not just like, hey, what’s the tallest point in Minnesota?
[0:21:07 – 0:21:07] Erik: No.
[0:21:08 – 0:21:18] Erik: It’s more of a category-based trivia where you get seven guesses to name four correct answers before you get four wrong.
[0:21:19 – 0:21:28] Erik: And then we go back and forth, and the goal is to get four categories correct before the other person does.
[0:21:29 – 0:21:30] Adam: So basically, it’s like…
[0:21:31 – 0:21:33] Adam: You’ve got to get four right to get a category.
[0:21:33 – 0:21:34] Adam: That’s a win.
[0:21:34 – 0:21:38] Erik: Yes, four right to get a category, and then you need to get four categories.
[0:21:39 – 0:21:49] Erik: It’s like you basically have to get best of seven twice, not twice, but in the categories, and then you have to get best of seven out of the entire group.
[0:21:50 – 0:21:52] Erik: It’s way easier to do this with sport.
[0:21:53 – 0:21:54] Erik: I think so, but I think…
[0:21:54 – 0:21:55] Erik: There’s so many stats.
[0:21:55 – 0:21:56] Erik: There are a lot of stats.
[0:21:56 – 0:21:56] Adam: Numbers.
[0:21:57 – 0:21:57] Erik: Yeah.
[0:21:57 – 0:22:08] Erik: It was basically like, as an example, it was like, name four NHLers that have over 300 penalty minutes.
[0:22:08 – 0:22:12] Adam: Name four players that have worn number 43 for the Leafs.
[0:22:12 – 0:22:13] Adam: Yeah.
[0:22:13 – 0:22:13] Adam: Something like that.
[0:22:13 – 0:22:18] Erik: So, I mean, it definitely does translate way more to sports.
[0:22:18 – 0:22:23] Adam: It was tough, but once I got going, I feel like I’ve got…
[0:22:24 – 0:22:27] Adam: So we really only each need four categories tops, right?
[0:22:27 – 0:22:28] Adam: Basically, yeah.
[0:22:28 – 0:22:30] Adam: We have a lot of categories.
[0:22:30 – 0:22:32] Adam: So I think there’s going to be more episodes of this in the future.
[0:22:32 – 0:22:32] Adam: We’ll see.
[0:22:32 – 0:22:34] Adam: Because I’m going to keep adding to it.
[0:22:34 – 0:22:36] Adam: I mean, I added two more categories just this afternoon.
[0:22:36 – 0:22:44] Erik: Yeah, and they are by no means directly related to the Bondrew Waters, but I would say they’re in the realm of… Realm of the show.
[0:22:45 – 0:22:47] Erik: Realm of the show trivia.
[0:22:54 – 0:22:54] Erik: There it is.
[0:22:55 – 0:22:56] Adam: Pretty good.
[0:22:56 – 0:22:58] Adam: We’ll just delete that and put in the chip tune.
[0:22:58 – 0:22:59] Adam: Loop it and chip it, baby.
[0:22:59 – 0:23:03] Adam: I didn’t bring a coin or anything.
[0:23:03 – 0:23:08] Adam: I don’t know how we’re going to determine who has home shed advantage here.
[0:23:08 – 0:23:09] Erik: Home shed advantage?
[0:23:09 – 0:23:10] Adam: Home shed advantage.
[0:23:10 – 0:23:12] Adam: That’s a pretty good episode title.
[0:23:12 – 0:23:12] Adam: I’m going to write that one down.
[0:23:13 – 0:23:14] Adam: Home shed advantage.
[0:23:14 – 0:23:16] Adam: Tumble Trivia was the working title, but home shed advantage.
[0:23:16 – 0:23:18] Erik: Yeah, Tumble Trivia is a little too on the nose, but you know.
[0:23:20 – 0:23:22] Erik: Yeah, that is definitely the working title.
[0:23:22 – 0:23:32] Erik: And if anybody has any questions about how the rules work or the exact trivia, tumblehomecasts at gmail.com if you need me to clarify at all.
[0:23:32 – 0:23:42] Erik: But you’re going to have to get that email in within the next six hours because by the time this comes out, I will be gone into…
[0:23:46 – 0:23:48] Erik: Oh, boy, he’s going north.
[0:23:48 – 0:23:49] Erik: Oh, boy.
[0:23:49 – 0:23:51] Erik: I mean, let’s just take a look.
[0:23:51 – 0:23:54] Adam: He’s going all the way up to Keywatton, this crazy bastard.
[0:23:54 – 0:23:56] Erik: Dinged on Keywatton.
[0:23:57 – 0:23:58] Adam: He’s bringing the field mic, too.
[0:23:58 – 0:23:59] Adam: Don’t worry, folks.
[0:23:59 – 0:24:00] Adam: We’re going to get all started.
[0:24:00 – 0:24:01] Adam: I was like, you got to take it.
[0:24:02 – 0:24:03] Adam: I want to know what happens.
[0:24:03 – 0:24:03] Adam: Yeah, I mean.
[0:24:03 – 0:24:06] Adam: I’m jealous, and I need to know what happens.
[0:24:06 – 0:24:16] Erik: With the Hunter S. Thomas-esque suitcase of uppers, downers, laughers, and screamers we’re bringing, I got to get some audio recording so I can remember what happened.
[0:24:16 – 0:24:22] Adam: Take lots of detailed… Yeah, just have a detailed notebook.
[0:24:22 – 0:24:23] Adam: Field notes.
[0:24:23 – 0:24:23] Adam: Yeah.
[0:24:24 – 0:24:25] Adam: That would be a whole other episode.
[0:24:25 – 0:24:29] Erik: I figured we don’t have to involve a coin.
[0:24:30 – 0:24:30] Erik: Okay.
[0:24:30 – 0:24:32] Erik: Because coins are pointless and useless.
[0:24:32 – 0:24:33] Adam: I did have my hand on a coin.
[0:24:34 – 0:24:36] Adam: I found a quarter, Oklahoma.
[0:24:37 – 0:24:40] Adam: State quarter earlier today, but I don’t know what I did with it.
[0:24:40 – 0:24:41] Adam: I thought I had it in my pocket.
[0:24:41 – 0:24:42] Adam: It’s gone.
[0:24:43 – 0:24:44] Adam: Like the topsoil…
[0:24:46 – 0:24:46] Erik: Oh, no.
[0:24:47 – 0:24:48] Erik: I was at work yesterday.
[0:24:48 – 0:24:52] Erik: Quick side tangent slash story before we get into the trivia.
[0:24:52 – 0:24:56] Erik: And let’s just settle this before the side tangent.
[0:24:57 – 0:24:57] Adam: Yeah.
[0:24:58 – 0:24:59] Erik: Completely random.
[0:24:59 – 0:25:00] Erik: Could have been anybody.
[0:25:00 – 0:25:03] Erik: Let’s just say you started the show, so you get home ice advantage.
[0:25:06 – 0:25:06] Adam: Okay.
[0:25:06 – 0:25:09] Adam: So that means I get to give the first question or I get?
[0:25:09 – 0:25:10] Adam: You can decide.
[0:25:10 – 0:25:12] Erik: It’s like winning the coin toss.
[0:25:12 – 0:25:13] Adam: That’s what I mean.
[0:25:13 – 0:25:13] Adam: Oh, boy.
[0:25:14 – 0:25:15] Erik: Think about that.
[0:25:15 – 0:25:17] Adam: When you think about that, think about this.
[0:25:17 – 0:25:26] Erik: I was just talking to some, not fellow, but a single fellow, a person that I work with, and I was saying how much I hate coins when I get change.
[0:25:26 – 0:25:27] Erik: Yeah.
[0:25:27 – 0:25:33] Erik: And based on the line of work me and the geologist wife are in these days, there’s a bit of cash that we use.
[0:25:33 – 0:25:35] Erik: So a lot of change comes back.
[0:25:35 – 0:25:59] Erik: and i love the co-op because they round up and put it towards a good cause and i always say yes round up take my coins because i don’t want them i hate jangling it’s more like keep your lousy coins and give them to the dog park or something garbage so anytime i get changed or like a little stack of coins whenever i’m walking around with it afterwards i can’t stand having coins in my pocket yeah so i’ll just like set it like if i’m at the gas station whatever i’ll just set it like on top of like
[0:26:00 – 0:26:02] Erik: a gas pump or wherever, like on top of the garbage can.
[0:26:02 – 0:26:04] Erik: I don’t throw it away, but I just don’t keep it.
[0:26:05 – 0:26:09] Erik: So if somebody wants to find it, they can find it, and that’s maybe a little extra change for them.
[0:26:10 – 0:26:25] Erik: And I was telling this to somebody that I was working with, and he continued to tell me this story about how he was living with a guy who was an ex-Marine who was stationed in Indonesia for a while.
[0:26:26 – 0:26:36] Erik: And his job right away, especially at the army base, was to take the garbage out once a week, just out into this field and burn it.
[0:26:37 – 0:26:38] Erik: Just start it on fire and burn it.
[0:26:39 – 0:26:48] Erik: And the first time he went out there to do that, he got approached by a bunch of local Indonesians and they asked if they could…
[0:26:49 – 0:27:08] Erik: have the garbage go through the garbage and pick out stuff that they might want before it gets burned before it gets burned yeah and he’s like yeah sure fine then they started picking out and one guy collected a bunch of cardboard and one guy was like taking a bunch of like the glass and somebody else took a bunch of other things that you know americans would just assume to be trash and
[0:27:09 – 0:27:11] Erik: And then he was like, well, I have to get back.
[0:27:12 – 0:27:17] Erik: I have to do my job and just start this trash on fire.
[0:27:17 – 0:27:20] Erik: And so he started all these bags of trash on fire.
[0:27:20 – 0:27:28] Erik: And then even after the trash was on fire, there was still kids and locals just barefoot kind of shuffling through, burning trash, digging through it.
[0:27:29 – 0:27:34] Erik: Like that level of poverty looking for things that were valuable to them.
[0:27:35 – 0:27:35] Erik: Uh-huh.
[0:27:37 – 0:28:01] Erik: literal burning trash not just garbage this isn’t a metaphor now it is burning garbage and this is the story he told me after i told him that i literally almost throw away money and i was just wow thanks pal i’m glad that was the first thought you had when i told you that sometimes i like to put 15 cents on top of throwing it away you’re just leaving it
[0:28:01 – 0:28:02] Adam: I know, but it was just…
[0:28:02 – 0:28:03] Adam: It’s not like you threw it in the harbor.
[0:28:04 – 0:28:04] Erik: No.
[0:28:04 – 0:28:05] Adam: I know, but it was just like, all right.
[0:28:05 – 0:28:07] Adam: Have you ever thrown money in the harbor, though?
[0:28:07 – 0:28:08] Adam: It feels so good.
[0:28:08 – 0:28:09] Adam: Yeah.
[0:28:09 – 0:28:12] Erik: You ever try to skip a quarter on a calm morning in the lake?
[0:28:12 – 0:28:13] Adam: Quarters skip so good.
[0:28:13 – 0:28:16] Adam: Fish need money, too, Eric.
[0:28:16 – 0:28:18] Erik: I just thought it was funny.
[0:28:18 – 0:28:21] Erik: That was the first story he said after I told him sometimes I discard…
[0:28:21 – 0:28:22] Erik: Burning trash.
[0:28:23 – 0:28:50] Adam: money wow well well i’ll think about your lesson i haven’t gotten coins since but the next time i do receive coins i will definitely think about the barefoot indonesians we got a democracy going on with the comrades at the co-op there’s a big whiteboard at work and you get to suggest music for the playlist oh no and uh this is
[0:28:51 – 0:28:53] Adam: Sort of related in a very weird way.
[0:28:54 – 0:28:57] Adam: So it’s better than it used to be because there used to be no voting.
[0:28:57 – 0:29:07] Adam: It would just be like, here’s the generic playlist that has been created by Pandora or whatever archaic 10-year music contract we’re locked into for some reason.
[0:29:08 – 0:29:09] Adam: But now it’s everybody gets to pick.
[0:29:10 – 0:29:13] Adam: You get an hour or whatever you want if you put it on the whiteboard.
[0:29:13 – 0:29:17] Adam: And so without fail, though, if you’re like, who the hell picked Tom Petty?
[0:29:17 – 0:29:21] Adam: The person who picked Tom Petty will be in the room and probably standing right next to you.
[0:29:22 – 0:29:22] Adam: Yeah.
[0:29:22 – 0:29:25] Adam: Even if you think that that person never in their life would listen to Tom Petty.
[0:29:25 – 0:29:27] Adam: So I’ve just learned to shut up.
[0:29:27 – 0:29:27] Adam: Yeah.
[0:29:27 – 0:29:28] Adam: You don’t want to criticize any of that.
[0:29:28 – 0:29:31] Adam: You’re going to get burned bad if you criticize the music.
[0:29:31 – 0:29:31] Adam: Mm-hmm.
[0:29:32 – 0:29:33] Adam: Who the hell picked this?
[0:29:33 – 0:29:34] Adam: Actually, this is my favorite band.
[0:29:34 – 0:29:36] Adam: My aunt’s in the band.
[0:29:36 – 0:29:37] Erik: What are you doing?
[0:29:37 – 0:29:38] Erik: Tom Petty’s my uncle.
[0:29:38 – 0:29:39] Adam: Oh, I’m sorry.
[0:29:40 – 0:29:45] Adam: I mean, you know, in the morning, I like it, obviously, in the afternoon or maybe in the evening, but not in the morning.
[0:29:45 – 0:29:47] Adam: But I can see why you like it.
[0:29:47 – 0:29:48] Adam: I’m sorry.
[0:29:48 – 0:29:48] Erik: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[0:29:48 – 0:29:49] Erik: No, no, no.
[0:29:49 – 0:29:50] Erik: Yeah, just fully backtracking.
[0:29:51 – 0:29:52] Adam: Yeah, hard backpedal.
[0:29:53 – 0:29:54] Adam: I didn’t mean it.
[0:29:54 – 0:29:55] Erik: Not like that.
[0:29:55 – 0:29:56] Erik: I just don’t like it now.
[0:29:56 – 0:29:59] Adam: I’ve decided I want the first question.
[0:29:59 – 0:30:00] Adam: You want to receive?
[0:30:00 – 0:30:02] Adam: I want to receive a question so I can see.
[0:30:02 – 0:30:06] Adam: I need to get them because I got like 10 to 11 categories ready.
[0:30:06 – 0:30:09] Adam: So I got to see where your level of categories are before I throw in it.
[0:30:09 – 0:30:11] Adam: This is your concept more than mine.
[0:30:11 – 0:30:12] Adam: I’m just here.
[0:30:12 – 0:30:15] Adam: I’m trying to do my best to make you proud, Eric.
[0:30:15 – 0:30:21] Adam: But I need to hear what your first question is so I know what level of question to throw back at you.
[0:30:21 – 0:30:30] Erik: No, I appreciate that, but I don’t necessarily appreciate the future throwing me under the bus for if this doesn’t work out.
[0:30:30 – 0:30:31] Adam: Oh, it’s going to work out for sure.
[0:30:31 – 0:30:32] Adam: Have some confidence.
[0:30:32 – 0:30:32] Adam: Okay.
[0:30:32 – 0:30:33] Adam: Get confidence, stupid.
[0:30:34 – 0:30:38] Adam: I think we said a few episodes ago, it’s all about confidence.
[0:30:38 – 0:30:46] Erik: All right, I’m going to hit stop just to make sure everything’s okay on the audio front and all of the questions are lined up.
[0:30:47 – 0:30:51] Erik: When we come back in the blink of an eye, it’s going to get hot and heavy in here with trivia.
[0:30:52 – 0:30:52] Erik: I’m keeping score.
[0:30:56 – 0:31:08] Erik: All right, now that the chiptune mariachi song has fully played and everybody is amped and ready, get your money out, sportsinteraction.com.
[0:31:08 – 0:31:09] Adam: How much are we betting on this?
[0:31:10 – 0:31:11] Adam: I don’t have my wallet.
[0:31:11 – 0:31:13] Adam: I don’t have any coins.
[0:31:13 – 0:31:14] Erik: I threw them in the harbor.
[0:31:14 – 0:31:20] Erik: I’ll bet you all the coins that are sitting on top of gas pumps at Holiday and Grand Marais that I will win.
[0:31:21 – 0:31:21] Adam: All right.
[0:31:22 – 0:31:23] Adam: So what are we doing?
[0:31:24 – 0:31:27] Adam: Do I get two series of questions and then I go back two to you?
[0:31:28 – 0:31:29] Adam: I would think so, yeah.
[0:31:29 – 0:31:31] Adam: Or are we just going one and one back and forth?
[0:31:31 – 0:31:31] Adam: Two.
[0:31:32 – 0:31:32] Erik: Two at a time.
[0:31:32 – 0:31:33] Erik: Two at a time.
[0:31:33 – 0:31:33] Erik: Yeah.
[0:31:33 – 0:31:34] Erik: Okay.
[0:31:34 – 0:31:37] Adam: So if I fail to get this first category, does that count as a win for you then?
[0:31:37 – 0:31:39] Adam: Or is it just a zero?
[0:31:39 – 0:31:41] Erik: No, it’s just you don’t get one.
[0:31:41 – 0:31:43] Adam: Oh, I thought you got it as the questionnaire.
[0:31:44 – 0:31:46] Erik: No, I think it just counts as a zero.
[0:31:46 – 0:31:47] Erik: So it’s…
[0:31:47 – 0:31:48] Adam: Oh, I don’t know.
[0:31:48 – 0:31:49] Adam: Maybe I don’t have enough categories, then.
[0:31:49 – 0:31:50] Adam: Well, we’ll see.
[0:31:50 – 0:31:50] Erik: This is troubling.
[0:31:51 – 0:31:52] Erik: All right.
[0:31:52 – 0:31:54] Erik: Yeah, this could all end up in smoke.
[0:31:54 – 0:31:56] Adam: What if nobody gets any of them right?
[0:31:57 – 0:31:58] Adam: We’ll never have a victor.
[0:31:58 – 0:32:01] Erik: Well, I’ve got some easier ones, I think.
[0:32:01 – 0:32:05] Erik: I could just come up with a couple off the top of my head that would be just like, all right, we’ve got to round this out.
[0:32:05 – 0:32:06] Erik: Let’s see.
[0:32:06 – 0:32:06] Adam: Are you sure?
[0:32:06 – 0:32:11] Adam: I thought it was when I was listening to it, if they didn’t get it, then it counted as a point for the other guy.
[0:32:11 – 0:32:13] Erik: Okay, well, let’s play it that way.
[0:32:13 – 0:32:18] Adam: I don’t want to have to burn up all the categories just because we keep messing them up.
[0:32:18 – 0:32:18] Erik: Okay.
[0:32:18 – 0:32:20] Adam: But as you saw earlier, I’m pretty sharp.
[0:32:20 – 0:32:22] Adam: I hope they’re all beer-related trivia.
[0:32:22 – 0:32:25] Erik: Yeah, they all are beer-related trivia.
[0:32:25 – 0:32:25] Erik: No, they’re not.
[0:32:26 – 0:32:31] Erik: Actually, I was trying to find some beer-related trivia, and I just couldn’t really find any that would make much sense.
[0:32:32 – 0:32:33] Erik: So none of them are.
[0:32:33 – 0:32:34] Adam: The highest ABV.
[0:32:35 – 0:32:39] Adam: The Tumble Home has had 208 different kinds of beer sponsors.
[0:32:39 – 0:32:41] Adam: Name the top four in ABV.
[0:32:42 – 0:32:43] Erik: That would be fun.
[0:32:43 – 0:32:43] Erik: That would be fun.
[0:32:44 – 0:32:47] Erik: Devil’s Milk or whatever that one was.
[0:32:47 – 0:32:48] Adam: Last week’s.
[0:32:48 – 0:32:48] Adam: No.
[0:32:48 – 0:32:49] Adam: Yeah.
[0:32:49 – 0:32:49] Adam: Last week’s triple.
[0:32:49 – 0:32:50] Adam: Dragon’s Nipples.
[0:32:50 – 0:32:51] Erik: The Dragon’s Nipple.
[0:32:51 – 0:32:52] Adam: Yeah.
[0:32:52 – 0:32:53] Erik: Multiple nipples.
[0:32:54 – 0:32:54] Erik: All right.
[0:32:55 – 0:32:55] Erik: All right.
[0:32:55 – 0:32:56] Erik: What’s the first category?
[0:32:56 – 0:32:57] Erik: The first category.
[0:32:59 – 0:32:59] Erik: Rapala.
[0:32:59 – 0:33:00] Erik: Oh, yeah.
[0:33:00 – 0:33:01] Erik: Yeah.
[0:33:02 – 0:33:08] Erik: If we ever end up with a – because we didn’t transfer each other’s information.
[0:33:08 – 0:33:13] Erik: So I don’t think that there’s going to be any crossover.
[0:33:13 – 0:33:15] Erik: But if there is – Well, yeah.
[0:33:16 – 0:33:16] Adam: I won’t use my rap.
[0:33:16 – 0:33:23] Erik: Don’t say anything and just raise your right hand in the air and I will just move on to the next one and the listeners will never.
[0:33:23 – 0:33:42] Erik: yeah so the x-rap yeah my favorite lure talked about in uh many episodes along the along the days and the years there are 21 colors wow can you name four of them uh yeah well the number one is midnight steel
[0:33:43 – 0:33:45] Adam: That is not one.
[0:33:45 – 0:33:47] Adam: That’s not what it’s called?
[0:33:47 – 0:33:47] Adam: No.
[0:33:48 – 0:33:49] Adam: You know what the one I’m talking about is, though.
[0:33:49 – 0:33:50] Erik: I do, and that is not one of them.
[0:33:51 – 0:33:55] Erik: So you’re down a game already.
[0:33:56 – 0:33:56] Erik: Down 0-1.
[0:33:56 – 0:33:58] Erik: He’s frowning.
[0:33:58 – 0:34:01] Adam: What’s that one called?
[0:34:01 – 0:34:02] Adam: Anyways, we’ll go with…
[0:34:05 – 0:34:10] Adam: No, I mean, so I have to have it as exactly as it’s listed in Rapala?
[0:34:10 – 0:34:17] Erik: I mean, I think in terms of that one, that would need to be pretty exact, but there’s some that… Can I go with Perch?
[0:34:17 – 0:34:18] Adam: Yes, Perch is one.
[0:34:18 – 0:34:19] Adam: All right.
[0:34:19 – 0:34:21] Adam: Series is tied, 1-1.
[0:34:21 – 0:34:25] Adam: I’m going to say Black Silver.
[0:34:27 – 0:34:29] Erik: No, not on the list.
[0:34:29 – 0:34:29] Erik: What?
[0:34:29 – 0:34:30] Adam: What do they call that?
[0:34:31 – 0:34:31] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:34:32 – 0:34:33] Adam: Um…
[0:34:37 – 0:34:39] Adam: So I have to name it what it’s actually called, though.
[0:34:39 – 0:34:42] Adam: I’m picturing all these beautiful X-Racks.
[0:34:42 – 0:34:49] Erik: There’s a lot of them that are just colors, but then there are some that I imagine you will never get because they are hyper-specific.
[0:34:49 – 0:34:50] Adam: Right.
[0:34:52 – 0:34:54] Adam: I can’t even remember what I said the first time.
[0:34:54 – 0:34:56] Adam: And I was wondering, too, do we need to have a time limit?
[0:34:57 – 0:34:59] Erik: No, I mean… You said midnight steal.
[0:34:59 – 0:35:00] Erik: Midnight steal.
[0:35:01 – 0:35:01] Erik: I don’t know.
[0:35:01 – 0:35:03] Erik: I don’t think that there necessarily needs to be a time limit.
[0:35:03 – 0:35:07] Erik: I think the time limit is how long do you want to just sit here in silence and think?
[0:35:08 – 0:35:15] Erik: That is the one downside to a thinking trivia on an audio medium.
[0:35:15 – 0:35:15] Adam: Right.
[0:35:17 – 0:35:17] Adam: Um…
[0:35:20 – 0:35:49] Adam: crawdad no no crawdad my one and two no three one and three i only have one more to go i think you should keep your mind no this is a little hint i’ll just keep you just to maybe get back on track just think of fish uh-huh okay um hmm is there one just called walleye
[0:35:50 – 0:35:52] Erik: Are you going to go with that as a final answer?
[0:35:52 – 0:35:53] Adam: I did, I guess.
[0:35:53 – 0:35:53] Adam: Okay.
[0:35:53 – 0:35:54] Adam: There is not.
[0:35:55 – 0:35:55] Adam: Wow.
[0:35:55 – 0:35:56] Adam: F. Wow.
[0:35:56 – 0:35:57] Adam: One for four.
[0:35:58 – 0:35:58] Adam: That’s not good.
[0:35:59 – 0:35:59] Adam: You got perch.
[0:36:00 – 0:36:01] Erik: Okay.
[0:36:01 – 0:36:01] Erik: Out of the 21.
[0:36:01 – 0:36:02] Erik: What’s the steel one?
[0:36:07 – 0:36:07] Adam: Hot steel.
[0:36:07 – 0:36:08] Erik: Hot steel?
[0:36:08 – 0:36:10] Erik: Yeah, I couldn’t give you midnight steel.
[0:36:10 – 0:36:11] Erik: It wasn’t close enough.
[0:36:11 – 0:36:13] Erik: Wow, what the hell was I talking about?
[0:36:13 – 0:36:19] Erik: I don’t know, but I feel like over the years we’ve misconstrued the name of that so many times that I actually thought it was going to trip you up.
[0:36:19 – 0:36:22] Adam: If there’s one called green-eared sunfish, I’m going to lose it.
[0:36:22 – 0:36:24] Erik: No, I’ll start from the top.
[0:36:24 – 0:36:27] Erik: This is straight from the Rapala website.
[0:36:27 – 0:36:29] Erik: I know you weren’t going to get this one, but I had to write it down.
[0:36:30 – 0:36:31] Erik: Hot mustard muddler.
[0:36:31 – 0:36:33] Adam: That’s a good one.
[0:36:33 – 0:36:34] Erik: Albino shiner.
[0:36:35 – 0:36:38] Erik: silver, scoop, brown trout,
[0:36:39 – 0:36:43] Erik: Silver Blue, Green Olive Mudler, Glass Ghost.
[0:36:44 – 0:36:45] Erik: Oh, shit.
[0:36:45 – 0:36:46] Adam: Glass Ghost?
[0:36:46 – 0:36:48] Adam: I’ll give you one more guess.
[0:36:48 – 0:36:49] Adam: Crawdad is on this list.
[0:36:50 – 0:36:53] Adam: It’s just under Rusty Crawdad, and there are still 10 more.
[0:36:53 – 0:36:54] Adam: Did you say Silver was one?
[0:36:55 – 0:36:56] Adam: You said Black Silver.
[0:36:56 – 0:36:58] Adam: Yeah, it’s the Silver one.
[0:36:58 – 0:36:59] Adam: Black Silver?
[0:37:00 – 0:37:03] Adam: Yeah, it’s Black on top and Silver on the middle and White on bottom.
[0:37:03 – 0:37:03] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:37:03 – 0:37:04] Adam: Classic.
[0:37:04 – 0:37:06] Adam: It’s the Rapala, the Black Silver.
[0:37:07 – 0:37:07] Adam: All right, fine.
[0:37:07 – 0:37:12] Adam: So I will take, because I didn’t say it right and I didn’t quite get the crawdad one right.
[0:37:12 – 0:37:13] Erik: Yeah.
[0:37:13 – 0:37:15] Adam: I’ll give you, yeah, you get one more guess and there is still.
[0:37:15 – 0:37:16] Adam: So where am I at then?
[0:37:16 – 0:37:18] Adam: I’m at two to three then?
[0:37:18 – 0:37:19] Erik: Two to three.
[0:37:19 – 0:37:26] Erik: You get one more guess and there is one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine others on the list.
[0:37:26 – 0:37:26] Erik: All right.
[0:37:26 – 0:37:27] Erik: Brook trout.
[0:37:29 – 0:37:29] Erik: Damn, no.
[0:37:30 – 0:37:30] Erik: What?
[0:37:30 – 0:37:31] Adam: I have one.
[0:37:32 – 0:37:33] Erik: No.
[0:37:33 – 0:37:36] Erik: Rainbow trout is on the list.
[0:37:37 – 0:37:38] Adam: I have a brook trout.
[0:37:39 – 0:37:39] Adam: Okay.
[0:37:39 – 0:37:40] Adam: I don’t know what they’re doing.
[0:37:41 – 0:37:42] Erik: I mean, I said brown trout.
[0:37:42 – 0:37:45] Adam: I know you said brown trout, which jogged my memory that I have a brook trout.
[0:37:45 – 0:37:46] Adam: Yeah.
[0:37:46 – 0:37:47] Adam: Definitely a brook trout.
[0:37:47 – 0:37:49] Erik: Damn, I wish I would have caught that rusty.
[0:37:49 – 0:37:50] Erik: It was rusty crawdad.
[0:37:51 – 0:37:57] Adam: Do they have a, now, all right, I’m officially lost, but do they have like a neon crawdad or electric crawdad?
[0:37:57 – 0:37:59] Erik: I don’t see electric crawdad.
[0:37:59 – 0:38:03] Adam: Ah, that must be only on the jointed shad wrap that they have the electric crawdad.
[0:38:03 – 0:38:05] Erik: I see Hot Pink.
[0:38:06 – 0:38:06] Adam: Hot Pink.
[0:38:06 – 0:38:08] Adam: Tennessee Olive Shad.
[0:38:09 – 0:38:09] Adam: Uh-huh.
[0:38:09 – 0:38:10] Adam: Clown.
[0:38:10 – 0:38:11] Adam: Clown.
[0:38:11 – 0:38:12] Adam: I was going to say Clown.
[0:38:12 – 0:38:13] Adam: I should have went with that.
[0:38:13 – 0:38:15] Erik: Moss Back Shiner or Black.
[0:38:15 – 0:38:17] Erik: I can’t tell if I missed the L there.
[0:38:17 – 0:38:18] Erik: Gold.
[0:38:19 – 0:38:21] Erik: You got Perch, but then there is also Yellow Perch.
[0:38:22 – 0:38:22] Erik: Uh-huh.
[0:38:22 – 0:38:23] Erik: And River Perch.
[0:38:24 – 0:38:25] Adam: And then Hot Head.
[0:38:26 – 0:38:26] Adam: Hot Head.
[0:38:26 – 0:38:27] Adam: That’s me.
[0:38:28 – 0:38:28] Adam: All right, that’s a loss.
[0:38:29 – 0:38:35] Adam: That’s one for Eric, and he’s off to a hot start with a road victory.
[0:38:35 – 0:38:36] Adam: I guess, kind of.
[0:38:36 – 0:38:46] Erik: I don’t know if I would have gotten the crawdad for you if that threw things off.
[0:38:46 – 0:38:48] Erik: That one has a light asterisk mark on it.
[0:38:48 – 0:38:49] Adam: I don’t think so.
[0:38:49 – 0:38:52] Adam: I definitely had a lot of chances to get one right, and I failed.
[0:38:53 – 0:39:01] Adam: I mean, honestly, just getting the steel wrong was off to a bad start immediately because it’s our favorite color.
[0:39:01 – 0:39:02] Adam: Right.
[0:39:02 – 0:39:05] Erik: I don’t even know if I would have gotten it because I think I always call it cold steel.
[0:39:05 – 0:39:05] Adam: Cold steel.
[0:39:05 – 0:39:07] Adam: It’s not electric steel.
[0:39:07 – 0:39:08] Adam: It’s not cold steel.
[0:39:08 – 0:39:09] Adam: Neon steel.
[0:39:09 – 0:39:10] Adam: Neon steel.
[0:39:11 – 0:39:12] Adam: Hot mustard muddler?
[0:39:12 – 0:39:13] Erik: Yeah.
[0:39:13 – 0:39:17] Erik: How do you have all of those other ones that are like fish based and then there’s hot mustard muddler?
[0:39:17 – 0:39:19] Adam: I’m going to put that down as a possible episode title too.
[0:39:19 – 0:39:19] Adam: That’s good.
[0:39:20 – 0:39:20] Adam: I like that.
[0:39:20 – 0:39:21] Adam: Hot mustard muddler.
[0:39:21 – 0:39:22] Adam: Yeah.
[0:39:22 – 0:39:23] Adam: Not bad.
[0:39:23 – 0:39:23] Adam: Not bad.
[0:39:23 – 0:39:24] Adam: All right.
[0:39:24 – 0:39:25] Adam: Well…
[0:39:27 – 0:39:43] Adam: struck out there what’s next you ready yeah i’m gonna go right i gotta just put this behind me and move on okay we’re talking i should have studied my rapala colors before yeah you have no idea what to study it’s one of those things where it’s like jeopardy contestants you just kind of have to be well first study it all okay
[0:39:44 – 0:39:53] Erik: I don’t know if this is going to go well or poorly, but I think, again, I tried to come up with things that weren’t too easy, not too hard.
[0:39:53 – 0:39:57] Erik: We’ve got Minnesota state record fish here on the line.
[0:39:57 – 0:39:58] Erik: Okay.
[0:39:58 – 0:40:07] Erik: There are 20 state record fish in the state of Minnesota under 5 pounds, 0 ounces.
[0:40:07 – 0:40:08] Erik: Okay.
[0:40:08 – 0:40:09] Erik: Can you name four of them?
[0:40:10 – 0:40:12] Adam: State record fish under 5 pounds.
[0:40:13 – 0:40:15] Erik: Under five pounds, zero ounces.
[0:40:15 – 0:40:15] Erik: Okay.
[0:40:16 – 0:40:16] Erik: Under.
[0:40:18 – 0:40:19] Adam: Okay.
[0:40:20 – 0:40:20] Adam: Sure.
[0:40:25 – 0:40:26] Adam: Like, what are they?
[0:40:27 – 0:40:27] Adam: Creek chub.
[0:40:29 – 0:40:30] Erik: I don’t know.
[0:40:30 – 0:40:34] Erik: I mean, I might allow you to retract that.
[0:40:34 – 0:40:35] Adam: What are they keeping records of?
[0:40:36 – 0:40:39] Adam: Is that considered a bait fish or this is only for game fish?
[0:40:39 – 0:40:41] Erik: I would say it’s only for game fish.
[0:40:41 – 0:40:44] Erik: I will give you the, I don’t know if this is going to be helpful at all.
[0:40:44 – 0:40:47] Erik: I’ll give you the lowest, the nine ounces.
[0:40:47 – 0:40:48] Adam: Okay.
[0:40:48 – 0:40:49] Adam: Nine ounces is the lowest?
[0:40:50 – 0:40:52] Erik: The smallest fish on record that is kept track of.
[0:40:56 – 0:41:01] Adam: Okay, so I got to get four under five pound record fish.
[0:41:01 – 0:41:01] Adam: Yeah.
[0:41:03 – 0:41:07] Adam: Okay, I just got to get on my panfish game here.
[0:41:07 – 0:41:09] Erik: Yeah, it’s a panfish game.
[0:41:09 – 0:41:11] Adam: Can I name four panfish?
[0:41:11 – 0:41:12] UNKNOWN: Yeah.
[0:41:12 – 0:41:23] Adam: I kind of want to go like weird with my first one though, but I’m probably going to get burned by this.
[0:41:24 – 0:41:30] Erik: I could send you in the right direction because I am not opposed to, like, I’m not just going to say yes or no.
[0:41:30 – 0:41:33] Adam: I could be like, well, no, you’re way off.
[0:41:34 – 0:41:38] Adam: I can’t imagine that there’s a five-pound bluegill.
[0:41:41 – 0:41:42] Erik: Well, I mean, what’s your answer then?
[0:41:43 – 0:41:44] Adam: Well, I’m going to say bluegill.
[0:41:45 – 0:41:48] Erik: Okay.
[0:41:48 – 0:41:50] Erik: Let me counter with this.
[0:41:52 – 0:41:58] Adam: There are… Do you… Yeah, will they have it broken down or what?
[0:41:58 – 0:42:02] Erik: There are multiple… Well, yes, bluegill is on the list.
[0:42:02 – 0:42:03] Adam: Okay.
[0:42:03 – 0:42:06] Erik: But it’s also under the umbrella of sunfish.
[0:42:06 – 0:42:07] Adam: Yeah.
[0:42:07 – 0:42:10] Erik: So you want to take bluegill, you get it.
[0:42:11 – 0:42:13] Erik: You can have it, if that makes sense.
[0:42:14 – 0:42:16] Adam: Bluegill counts, but there’s multiple kinds of bluegill?
[0:42:17 – 0:42:19] Adam: Well, no, bluegill is a variety of sunfish.
[0:42:20 – 0:42:21] Adam: Oh, I see.
[0:42:21 – 0:42:23] Adam: So sunfish is the winner.
[0:42:24 – 0:42:30] Erik: Well, sunfish has multiple categories that are under five pounds, and bluegill is one of them.
[0:42:30 – 0:42:32] Erik: A two-pound, 13-ounce bluegill.
[0:42:32 – 0:42:33] Erik: Two-pound bluegill.
[0:42:34 – 0:42:34] Adam: All right.
[0:42:34 – 0:42:36] Adam: But there’s more bluegill out there is what you’re saying.
[0:42:36 – 0:42:37] Erik: No, there’s more sunfish.
[0:42:38 – 0:42:40] Adam: Okay, okay.
[0:42:40 – 0:42:42] Adam: So is Pumpkin Seed a different one?
[0:42:42 – 0:42:46] Adam: That is two.
[0:42:46 – 0:42:47] Adam: Okay, okay.
[0:42:47 – 0:42:48] Adam: What about Rock Bass?
[0:42:49 – 0:42:50] Erik: Three games to none.
[0:42:50 – 0:42:52] Erik: Is there a record for Rock Bass?
[0:42:52 – 0:42:58] Erik: Two pounds, zero ounces, a tie between Lake Osakis and Winnebagosh.
[0:42:58 – 0:43:00] Adam: Winnebago, shout out to Winnebago.
[0:43:00 – 0:43:04] Adam: Anybody out there streaming the show on Winnebago tonight, shout out to you.
[0:43:04 – 0:43:06] Adam: Wow, you’re up three goals to none here.
[0:43:06 – 0:43:06] Adam: One more.
[0:43:06 – 0:43:07] Adam: It’s all on Bluegill.
[0:43:08 – 0:43:09] Erik: One more puts it away.
[0:43:09 – 0:43:13] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:43:13 – 0:43:14] Adam: What about Crappie?
[0:43:15 – 0:43:15] Adam: Black Crappie?
[0:43:17 – 0:43:17] Adam: They’re too big.
[0:43:18 – 0:43:19] Erik: Is that your final answer?
[0:43:19 – 0:43:19] Erik: Yeah.
[0:43:20 – 0:43:20] Erik: Okay.
[0:43:21 – 0:43:25] Erik: It is five pounds, zero ounces.
[0:43:25 – 0:43:29] Erik: That’s why I emphasized under five pounds, zero ounces.
[0:43:29 – 0:43:30] Adam: Oh, no.
[0:43:30 – 0:43:30] Adam: That’s the line?
[0:43:31 – 0:43:32] Erik: That is the top of the line.
[0:43:32 – 0:43:33] Adam: Three to one.
[0:43:33 – 0:43:34] Adam: Yes.
[0:43:34 – 0:43:35] Erik: Okay.
[0:43:35 – 0:43:38] Erik: I had multiple stars on either side of it.
[0:43:39 – 0:43:40] Adam: A five pound crappy, huh?
[0:43:41 – 0:43:41] Adam: Mm-hmm.
[0:43:42 – 0:43:42] Adam: Wow.
[0:43:42 – 0:43:44] Adam: Yeah.
[0:43:47 – 0:43:48] Adam: Okay.
[0:43:53 – 0:43:55] Adam: What about a perch?
[0:43:55 – 0:43:56] Adam: Yeah, there you go.
[0:43:56 – 0:43:57] Adam: Perch is okay?
[0:43:57 – 0:43:58] Adam: Yeah, perch is good.
[0:43:58 – 0:43:59] Adam: You got it.
[0:43:59 – 0:44:00] Adam: I’ve seen some real whoppers, though.
[0:44:00 – 0:44:00] Adam: I know.
[0:44:00 – 0:44:03] Adam: Maybe a perch could be bigger than a crappie.
[0:44:03 – 0:44:06] Erik: An almost four-pound trout from Lake Plantagenet in 1945.
[0:44:08 – 0:44:33] Erik: nice old record do they have a white crappie in there as a separate yellow oh yellow oh no white yes i was thinking about the rapalas yeah yes there is white crappie a three pound 15 ounce from lake constance 2002 why would i pick black crappie over white crappie that’s foolish all right we tied her up nice yeah also my panfish oh yeah also on the uh sunfish you could have gone with green
[0:44:34 – 0:44:35] Erik: Not green-eared.
[0:44:35 – 0:44:36] Erik: Green-eared sunfish.
[0:44:36 – 0:44:37] Erik: A one-pounder.
[0:44:37 – 0:44:41] Erik: And then there is also a hybrid, which is green and blue.
[0:44:41 – 0:44:42] Erik: Oh, no.
[0:44:42 – 0:44:42] Erik: Yeah.
[0:44:42 – 0:44:49] Erik: And then white bass, black bullhead, yellow bullhead, a river carp sucker.
[0:44:49 – 0:44:49] Adam: Oh, no.
[0:44:49 – 0:44:51] Adam: I thought about bullhead for sure.
[0:44:51 – 0:44:55] Erik: Goldeye, northern hog sucker, a mooneye, goldeye.
[0:44:56 – 0:44:57] Erik: Golden Red Horse.
[0:44:57 – 0:44:58] Adam: Oh, I’ve got that.
[0:44:59 – 0:45:02] Adam: Kokanee Salmon, Pink Salmon, Long Nose Sucker.
[0:45:02 – 0:45:05] Adam: I’ve got a Hog Nose Sucker, but never a Long Nose Sucker.
[0:45:05 – 0:45:06] Adam: Tiger Trout.
[0:45:07 – 0:45:08] Adam: Those are rare.
[0:45:08 – 0:45:08] Adam: I know.
[0:45:08 – 0:45:09] Adam: I was like, I didn’t even know that was a fish.
[0:45:09 – 0:45:12] Adam: That’s some driftless stuff there.
[0:45:12 – 0:45:12] Adam: Warmouth.
[0:45:12 – 0:45:14] Adam: That is the nine-ouncer.
[0:45:15 – 0:45:15] Erik: The Warmouth?
[0:45:16 – 0:45:17] Erik: From Pool 6 in Bartlett Lake.
[0:45:18 – 0:45:20] Erik: Sounds so majestic down there at Pool 6.
[0:45:20 – 0:45:21] Erik: Pool 6.
[0:45:21 – 0:45:23] Erik: And then Menominee.
[0:45:23 – 0:45:24] Erik: Oh, Menominee.
[0:45:24 – 0:45:24] Erik: Yeah.
[0:45:25 – 0:45:25] Erik: Menominee.
[0:45:25 – 0:45:29] Erik: Do you know which county in the state holds the most state records?
[0:45:31 – 0:45:32] Erik: Lake of the Woods?
[0:45:32 – 0:45:32] Erik: Cook?
[0:45:33 – 0:45:34] Erik: Cook, all right.
[0:45:34 – 0:45:43] Erik: Our county, mostly because of Lake Superior, but eight of the record fish that are kept track of by the state of Minnesota are from Cook County.
[0:45:43 – 0:45:43] Adam: All right.
[0:45:43 – 0:45:45] Adam: Do you have those listed?
[0:45:45 – 0:45:47] Adam: Was that a bonus or is this another side question?
[0:45:47 – 0:45:48] Erik: No, that was just bonus.
[0:45:49 – 0:45:50] Adam: I don’t have them listed at all.
[0:45:50 – 0:45:51] Adam: For sure the walleye, though.
[0:45:51 – 0:45:54] Erik: Walleye, lake trout, Menominee.
[0:45:57 – 0:45:58] Erik: What’s the record, Menominee?
[0:45:59 – 0:46:00] Erik: Two pounds, seven ounces.
[0:46:00 – 0:46:01] Erik: Wow.
[0:46:01 – 0:46:01] Erik: All right.
[0:46:02 – 0:46:03] Adam: What about herring?
[0:46:03 – 0:46:03] Adam: And whitefish.
[0:46:04 – 0:46:05] Adam: Wow, herring and whitefish.
[0:46:05 – 0:46:08] Erik: Record five pound, ten ounce whitefish from Lake Superior.
[0:46:08 – 0:46:08] Adam: That’s a pretty good one.
[0:46:09 – 0:46:10] Erik: Or not whitefish, cisco.
[0:46:10 – 0:46:11] Adam: Oh, yeah.
[0:46:11 – 0:46:12] Erik: That’s insane.
[0:46:12 – 0:46:12] Erik: Yeah.
[0:46:12 – 0:46:14] Erik: That’s a massive…
[0:46:14 – 0:46:14] Erik: Same thing?
[0:46:14 – 0:46:15] Adam: I don’t know.
[0:46:15 – 0:46:15] Adam: No.
[0:46:16 – 0:46:16] Adam: No.
[0:46:17 – 0:46:18] Erik: All right.
[0:46:18 – 0:46:24] Erik: So you’re going on the road with, yeah, you haven’t given up home ice advantage yet fully.
[0:46:25 – 0:46:27] Erik: So you’re still in it.
[0:46:27 – 0:46:31] Erik: And I’m excited to hear what comes my way now.
[0:46:33 – 0:46:37] Adam: Okay.
[0:46:37 – 0:46:42] Adam: There are 538 lakes in Cook County, not counting Lake Superior.
[0:46:42 – 0:46:43] Erik: Can you name four of them?
[0:46:43 – 0:46:46] Adam: This is a shoe-in.
[0:46:47 – 0:46:47] Adam: This is a build-up.
[0:46:48 – 0:46:48] Adam: All right, Eric.
[0:46:48 – 0:46:52] Adam: There are 26 lakes in Cook County deeper than 100 feet.
[0:46:53 – 0:46:56] Adam: Again, this is not counting Lake Superior, which is like 1,300 feet deep.
[0:46:56 – 0:46:56] Adam: Yeah.
[0:46:59 – 0:47:27] Adam: uh there are 26 lakes that are deeper than 100 feet there are eight lakes deeper than 150 feet can you name four eight uh there’s eight lakes deeper than 150 okay can you name four in cook county not necessarily the boundary waters yeah but um 150 i just did that because it’s easier to look it up by county as opposed to our section of the boundary waters yeah uh gunflint that is correct
[0:47:29 – 0:47:51] Erik: 200 feet yeah yeah it’s hard for it’s gonna be hard for me not to like hey yeah no you don’t look at the map i forgot i did not consider that we are sitting next to a massive map of all the lakes well i didn’t want to start you on a yeah i figure this one’s gettable yeah i i feel like it should be but i’m also like when you said 100 i was like i can get this for sure but then when you said 150 well
[0:47:52 – 0:47:56] Adam: Yeah, because I was going to do it as 100 feet, but then there’s 26 of them.
[0:47:56 – 0:47:57] Adam: I was like, that’s a lot of lakes.
[0:47:57 – 0:47:59] Adam: So where do you set the line there?
[0:47:59 – 0:47:59] Erik: Yeah.
[0:47:59 – 0:48:03] Adam: Because I know we were trying to say get four is the way.
[0:48:03 – 0:48:08] Adam: Some of my categories I ask for more than four, though, because it’s easy, I think.
[0:48:08 – 0:48:09] Adam: Interesting.
[0:48:09 – 0:48:14] Adam: So this one I did have just asked for four, but I had to narrow it down to 150 feet or less.
[0:48:14 – 0:48:15] Adam: Okay.
[0:48:15 – 0:48:17] Adam: Gunflint is good.
[0:48:18 – 0:48:18] Erik: One.
[0:48:18 – 0:48:19] Erik: How did you look this up?
[0:48:21 – 0:48:29] Adam: I went on MN Lake Finder, and I just searched all the lakes in Cook County, and then I individually clicked through them all, all 538 of them.
[0:48:29 – 0:48:30] Adam: See, that was the problem for me.
[0:48:30 – 0:48:38] Adam: To get the official data, because I found a couple other websites that claimed to list them, but then I found that data to be errant or askew.
[0:48:38 – 0:48:39] Adam: Askew.
[0:48:40 – 0:48:42] Adam: So I had to go back to get the official data.
[0:48:43 – 0:48:48] Adam: So, you know, these are all according to MN Lake Finder.
[0:48:48 – 0:48:49] Adam: And…
[0:48:50 – 0:48:55] Adam: There are lakes in there that they just don’t list depths on, but those are all little ponds for the most part.
[0:48:56 – 0:49:00] Adam: And of those 538 lakes, there’s a lot of them, and they’re just like untitled lake.
[0:49:00 – 0:49:01] Erik: All right.
[0:49:01 – 0:49:04] Erik: So I need to get three more lakes in Cook County that are deeper than 150 feet.
[0:49:04 – 0:49:04] Erik: Yep.
[0:49:04 – 0:49:05] Erik: Well…
[0:49:09 – 0:49:14] Erik: Since I am one up, I’m going to go and I’m going to take a guess just because of its… Oh, yeah.
[0:49:14 – 0:49:15] Adam: You’re one up in this category.
[0:49:15 – 0:49:15] Erik: Yeah.
[0:49:16 – 0:49:16] Erik: Yeah.
[0:49:16 – 0:49:17] Erik: One goal up.
[0:49:18 – 0:49:18] Erik: Right.
[0:49:19 – 0:49:20] Erik: I’m going to say Saginaw.
[0:49:21 – 0:49:24] Adam: It is the deepest lake in the state at 280 feet.
[0:49:25 – 0:49:43] Adam: oh my god yeah i know i didn’t even realize it was paddling across that in a couple days think about that next time you’re out there in a canoe yeah you go from 280 to a hull wrecker within like 20 feet it’s filthy okay so i got two boy good on two there those are pretty good guesses oh man there’s only six more
[0:49:44 – 0:49:44] Adam: That’s right.
[0:49:45 – 0:49:47] Adam: There’s only six more that exceed 150.
[0:49:47 – 0:49:47] Adam: Loon?
[0:49:47 – 0:49:51] Adam: I’m assuming this is on like a normal water year.
[0:49:51 – 0:49:52] Erik: Is Loon Lake on there?
[0:49:52 – 0:49:54] Adam: Loon is on there.
[0:49:54 – 0:49:54] Adam: 202.
[0:49:55 – 0:49:56] Adam: It’s somehow deeper than Gunflint.
[0:49:56 – 0:49:57] Adam: Wow.
[0:49:57 – 0:49:58] Adam: Yeah.
[0:49:58 – 0:50:00] Adam: So you’ve got three.
[0:50:00 – 0:50:01] Adam: You just need one more.
[0:50:01 – 0:50:02] Adam: Okay.
[0:50:02 – 0:50:02] Adam: Well.
[0:50:03 – 0:50:04] Adam: Pretty good guesses.
[0:50:04 – 0:50:05] Erik: I have one to kill then.
[0:50:05 – 0:50:09] Erik: I’m going to stay in that same vein of the tail end of the Laurentian Divide.
[0:50:09 – 0:50:10] Erik: I’ll say Birch Lake.
[0:50:11 – 0:50:16] Adam: No, Birch is not even 100, apparently.
[0:50:16 – 0:50:17] Erik: Wow.
[0:50:18 – 0:50:18] Adam: It’s not in my list.
[0:50:19 – 0:50:20] Adam: It’s like next to Loon.
[0:50:20 – 0:50:20] Adam: I know.
[0:50:20 – 0:50:21] Adam: It’s right there.
[0:50:21 – 0:50:22] Adam: Yeah, that’s three to one.
[0:50:22 – 0:50:25] Erik: How about South Lake?
[0:50:29 – 0:50:29] Adam: No.
[0:50:29 – 0:50:31] Adam: South is 140 feet deep.
[0:50:31 – 0:50:32] Adam: Oh, my God.
[0:50:33 – 0:50:34] Adam: It’s up there on the list.
[0:50:34 – 0:50:40] Adam: I have all the other ones in here, too, just because I figured you might get a couple like South, and I want to have the data.
[0:50:40 – 0:50:41] Erik: I’m glad, yeah.
[0:50:41 – 0:50:44] Adam: So it’s 3-2 on South.
[0:50:44 – 0:50:46] Adam: Good guess.
[0:50:46 – 0:50:50] Adam: I did test these out on a couple people, and every single person guessed South now.
[0:50:50 – 0:50:51] Adam: Interesting.
[0:50:51 – 0:50:52] Erik: Only 10 feet off.
[0:50:52 – 0:50:53] Erik: It’s a good guess.
[0:50:54 – 0:50:54] Erik: I appreciate my guess.
[0:50:55 – 0:50:55] Adam: Pretty good, yeah.
[0:50:57 – 0:51:12] Adam: um i was shocked at how many were over 100 honestly yeah not really but it was like wow after you like listed them all and tallied them up i was like damn that’s a lot of 100 footers uh let’s let’s get let’s get crazy let’s say greenwood
[0:51:16 – 0:51:39] Adam: 112 foot for greenwood that’s three three crunch time damn it well now i’m really six to get six options out no you’ve got uh five options left torn gotta hit it yeah i don’t think me seeing the lakes from four feet away without the names on them is really like you got the map in your mind burned into my brain um man
[0:51:43 – 0:51:44] Erik: I’m torn between…
[0:51:46 – 0:51:50] Adam: Turn the screen off right now so you can’t read it off my glasses.
[0:51:50 – 0:51:51] Erik: It’s crunch time.
[0:51:51 – 0:51:54] Erik: I’m torn between two lakes, honestly.
[0:51:55 – 0:51:55] Erik: Man, 150.
[0:51:56 – 0:51:58] Erik: Three lakes, to be honest.
[0:51:58 – 0:52:01] Erik: I’m torn between Otter Track, Tuscarora, and Devil’s Track.
[0:52:05 – 0:52:13] Erik: And if – I also don’t know where the – like, I’m also torn because of, like, where the Cook County line is.
[0:52:13 – 0:52:16] Adam: Yeah, I don’t know if on this map the line is very clear.
[0:52:16 – 0:52:16] Adam: No, it’s not.
[0:52:17 – 0:52:17] Adam: It’s not.
[0:52:17 – 0:52:22] Erik: Because I think if it was, I would say for sure Kakakabic would be on that list.
[0:52:22 – 0:52:29] Adam: But I think that’s in – There was some where I was, like, certain it was, but then I looked and it was like, oh, that’s, I guess, over the line or –
[0:52:29 – 0:52:44] Adam: half over i don’t know where they how they mark this but this is again according to mn lake finder data for cook county winchell i could i could also see that’s a big trench man
[0:52:45 – 0:53:07] Erik: greenwood i was like yeah that was like one of my first guesses was greenwood it was it was like the first one i typed out i guess i was working from east to west or something definitely not i’m not yeah i’m not confident that brule is that deep i could be yeah i could be wrong but i don’t know devil’s track no i’m crossing that one off the list ah god
[0:53:10 – 0:53:16] Erik: I’m going to go ahead and say, all right, it’s boiled down now between Winchell and Tuscarora.
[0:53:17 – 0:53:19] Erik: I’m going to go ahead and say Tuscarora.
[0:53:23 – 0:53:24] Adam: No.
[0:53:24 – 0:53:24] Adam: 130.
[0:53:25 – 0:53:26] Adam: 130 for Tuscarora.
[0:53:27 – 0:53:27] Adam: God.
[0:53:28 – 0:53:28] Adam: I love that question, though.
[0:53:28 – 0:53:29] Adam: That was fun.
[0:53:29 – 0:53:29] Adam: Thank you.
[0:53:30 – 0:53:31] Adam: I’m glad that worked out.
[0:53:31 – 0:53:33] Adam: I thought you were going to run away with it at first there.
[0:53:33 – 0:53:33] Adam: I know.
[0:53:33 – 0:53:35] Erik: Jesus, I got three goals up right away.
[0:53:35 – 0:53:36] Erik: Yeah, I thought you had it.
[0:53:36 – 0:53:37] Erik: Hot off the start.
[0:53:38 – 0:53:41] Adam: I’ll give you just the top eight in order.
[0:53:42 – 0:53:45] Erik: Did any of the ones that I was toying with end up on the list?
[0:53:45 – 0:53:46] Adam: Winchell is on here.
[0:53:46 – 0:53:47] Adam: Fuck.
[0:53:47 – 0:53:47] Adam: Yeah.
[0:53:48 – 0:53:50] Adam: Damn it.
[0:53:50 – 0:53:50] Adam: SAG, 280.
[0:53:51 – 0:53:53] Adam: Mountain Lake, 210 on Mountain.
[0:53:53 – 0:53:54] Erik: Oh, how did I not?
[0:53:55 – 0:53:55] Erik: Oh, my God.
[0:53:55 – 0:53:57] Adam: How did I not get Mountain?
[0:53:57 – 0:53:58] Adam: Well, you know, all these are borderless.
[0:53:58 – 0:53:59] Adam: I was like, well, does that count?
[0:54:00 – 0:54:01] Adam: What part of it is 210?
[0:54:01 – 0:54:03] Adam: Is it the Canadian side or the American side?
[0:54:03 – 0:54:04] Adam: Who knows?
[0:54:04 – 0:54:07] Adam: Gabby Michigame, 209.
[0:54:07 – 0:54:08] Erik: Oh, man.
[0:54:08 – 0:54:12] Adam: I should have known that one, too, because that’s crazy when you look at the map and how deep it gets.
[0:54:12 – 0:54:14] Adam: Loon Lake, 202.
[0:54:14 – 0:54:16] Adam: You got Gunflint, 200 even.
[0:54:16 – 0:54:19] Adam: You got Gillis, 180 for Gillis.
[0:54:19 – 0:54:19] Adam: Wow.
[0:54:20 – 0:54:20] Adam: Sick.
[0:54:21 – 0:54:25] Adam: Winchell comes in at 160, and Little Sag at 151.
[0:54:25 – 0:54:25] Adam: Hmm.
[0:54:26 – 0:54:28] Erik: Would not have ever guessed Little Sag.
[0:54:28 – 0:54:29] Erik: I should have gone with Winchell.
[0:54:29 – 0:54:29] Erik: Damn.
[0:54:30 – 0:54:31] Adam: Winchell would have won it for you there.
[0:54:31 – 0:54:33] Adam: Winchell for the win.
[0:54:33 – 0:54:34] Adam: Winchell for the win.
[0:54:35 – 0:54:37] Adam: I don’t know if I give you the rest of them.
[0:54:37 – 0:54:38] Adam: There’s a bunch in here.
[0:54:38 – 0:54:40] Adam: I’ll just give you a couple other highlights.
[0:54:40 – 0:54:41] Adam: Siegel at 145.
[0:54:42 – 0:54:45] Adam: You got South at 140 and Tuscarora at 130.
[0:54:45 – 0:54:47] Adam: Clearwater is also 130.
[0:54:47 – 0:54:50] Erik: I knew I wasn’t going to go guess Clearwater because I knew that one.
[0:54:51 – 0:54:54] Adam: And yeah, Greenwood 112.
[0:54:56 – 0:54:59] Adam: The last one on here I had was Vernon at 101.
[0:55:00 – 0:55:01] Adam: Interesting.
[0:55:01 – 0:55:02] Adam: So that’s your…
[0:55:04 – 0:55:06] Adam: That’s your data on the deep lakes.
[0:55:06 – 0:55:08] Adam: That’s a win for Adam.
[0:55:08 – 0:55:08] Adam: Yeah.
[0:55:10 – 0:55:13] Adam: And we’re going to go, I don’t know now.
[0:55:15 – 0:55:18] Adam: I’ve got some pretty dumb categories in here.
[0:55:18 – 0:55:21] Adam: I want to make sure I get one of these dumb categories in here.
[0:55:22 – 0:55:29] Adam: I will save my dumb categories for next round because I want to keep it in the lakes category if you’re okay with that.
[0:55:29 – 0:55:29] Adam: Sure.
[0:55:29 – 0:55:31] Adam: Yeah, whatever you want to throw at me.
[0:55:31 – 0:55:35] Adam: There are 13 lakes in Cook County that start with the letter A.
[0:55:36 – 0:55:37] Adam: Can you name four?
[0:55:37 – 0:55:38] Erik: Four?
[0:55:38 – 0:55:38] Erik: Okay.
[0:55:42 – 0:55:42] Erik: Alpine.
[0:55:43 – 0:55:44] Erik: That’s a ding.
[0:55:45 – 0:55:49] Erik: Again, eyes drift towards the lake.
[0:55:50 – 0:55:50] Adam: Oh, yeah.
[0:55:51 – 0:55:52] Adam: This one’s really bad.
[0:55:52 – 0:55:57] Adam: Half my categories were not considering we’d be sitting next to a massive wall map.
[0:55:57 – 0:56:01] Erik: Again, I can’t see anything on the map.
[0:56:01 – 0:56:02] Adam: This map is not good for that.
[0:56:02 – 0:56:03] Adam: Alpine counts.
[0:56:05 – 0:56:06] Adam: You got it.
[0:56:07 – 0:56:08] Erik: Alder.
[0:56:09 – 0:56:09] Adam: Alder.
[0:56:09 – 0:56:10] Adam: Aspen.
[0:56:10 – 0:56:11] Adam: Aspen.
[0:56:11 – 0:56:11] Adam: That’s three.
[0:56:11 – 0:56:11] Adam: Three.
[0:56:12 – 0:56:17] Erik: Yeah, again, classic get up three and then lightly stumped here.
[0:56:22 – 0:56:23] Erik: And Ash Dick.
[0:56:24 – 0:56:26] Adam: No, Ash Dick’s not in the county.
[0:56:26 – 0:56:28] Adam: Oh, it is like very close.
[0:56:28 – 0:56:28] Adam: It’s just over.
[0:56:28 – 0:56:29] Erik: That’s right.
[0:56:29 – 0:56:30] Erik: Damn it.
[0:56:30 – 0:56:31] Erik: Three to one.
[0:56:31 – 0:56:31] Erik: Okay.
[0:56:32 – 0:56:34] Erik: Yeah, it’s classic Ash Dick.
[0:56:37 – 0:56:38] Erik: Alton.
[0:56:38 – 0:56:40] Erik: Yeah, Alton, obviously.
[0:56:40 – 0:56:41] Erik: All right.
[0:56:41 – 0:56:43] Adam: I asked this one to a lot of people, and nobody got Alton.
[0:56:43 – 0:56:45] Adam: I was starting to get a little worried.
[0:56:45 – 0:56:47] Adam: Like, Alton’s pretty big, right?
[0:56:47 – 0:56:47] Adam: There it is.
[0:56:47 – 0:56:50] Adam: It’s bigger than Sawbill almost.
[0:56:50 – 0:56:51] Adam: Probably is, water-wise.
[0:56:51 – 0:56:56] Erik: I really wish I would have gotten the kill blow on Ash Dick, but… Yeah.
[0:56:56 – 0:56:56] Erik: Dang.
[0:56:57 – 0:57:17] Adam: still um this one i originally referenced the shout out to the $3.50 fishing guide from ugly baby bait and tackle on the gunflint trail two lakes and streams of cook county and it’s got a old guy fishing and i went through here and looked them all up but it was actually wrong
[0:57:18 – 0:57:22] Adam: And it was just missing a couple.
[0:57:22 – 0:57:26] Adam: So when I went to reference it, I’m a trained journalist.
[0:57:26 – 0:57:33] Adam: I wouldn’t just take this wonderful paper fishing guide as the one and only guidebook and reference.
[0:57:33 – 0:57:33] Adam: So this says 10.
[0:57:34 – 0:57:35] Adam: Yeah, that is 10.
[0:57:35 – 0:57:36] Adam: It’s missing some, though.
[0:57:36 – 0:57:39] Erik: Yeah, well, I mean, I imagine this is probably… And actually, I think one of them is just straight wrong.
[0:57:39 – 0:57:41] Adam: I don’t think there is an Addy Lake.
[0:57:41 – 0:57:43] Adam: Actually, that one lists Addy as a lake.
[0:57:44 – 0:57:46] Erik: Yeah, Magne State Park Trail.
[0:57:46 – 0:57:47] Erik: Magne State Park.
[0:57:47 – 0:57:48] Erik: That’s the access.
[0:57:48 – 0:57:49] Erik: No fish present.
[0:57:49 – 0:57:51] Adam: I don’t think that counts.
[0:57:51 – 0:57:58] Adam: What I have is Abita, Ada, Agnes, Alder, Alpha.
[0:57:59 – 0:58:00] Adam: Oh, Alpha.
[0:58:00 – 0:58:01] Adam: We just went near Alpha.
[0:58:01 – 0:58:02] Adam: I thought you might go with that one.
[0:58:03 – 0:58:03] Adam: Alpine.
[0:58:04 – 0:58:04] Adam: Allen.
[0:58:04 – 0:58:06] Adam: You didn’t guess Allen.
[0:58:06 – 0:58:06] Adam: Oh, man.
[0:58:06 – 0:58:07] Adam: The Allen.
[0:58:07 – 0:58:08] Adam: I should have guessed Allen.
[0:58:08 – 0:58:10] Adam: I should have asked for more than four on this category.
[0:58:10 – 0:58:19] Erik: Yeah, if I wouldn’t have gotten it and then it was like, you missed Allen, that would have been a demoralizing blow to the… Alton.
[0:58:20 – 0:58:21] Adam: Ambush.
[0:58:21 – 0:58:23] Adam: Don’t have any idea where Ambush is.
[0:58:23 – 0:58:24] Adam: Anderson.
[0:58:24 – 0:58:26] Adam: You got Aspen.
[0:58:26 – 0:58:27] Adam: Anderson?
[0:58:27 – 0:58:28] Adam: Asanika.
[0:58:30 – 0:58:30] Erik: Oh, yeah, yeah.
[0:58:31 – 0:58:31] Erik: And axe.
[0:58:32 – 0:58:33] Erik: That one actually came to mind right away.
[0:58:34 – 0:58:34] Adam: Assinica.
[0:58:34 – 0:58:35] Erik: Yeah.
[0:58:35 – 0:58:38] Erik: I don’t know where it is, but for whatever reason, that one…
[0:58:38 – 0:58:39] Erik: But I kept thinking of like…
[0:58:41 – 0:58:45] Erik: It wasn’t formalizing an actual word in my mind.
[0:58:45 – 0:58:50] Erik: I could just picture those like a bunch of vowels, and I knew it was there.
[0:58:50 – 0:58:52] Erik: I’m glad I didn’t have to dig any deeper.
[0:58:52 – 0:58:55] Adam: I don’t even know how to say it, but that’s a lake.
[0:58:55 – 0:58:55] Erik: Yeah.
[0:58:57 – 0:59:00] Adam: So, yeah, that original idea came from this little book.
[0:59:01 – 0:59:01] Adam: Okay.
[0:59:02 – 0:59:03] Adam: I’ve had this a long time.
[0:59:03 – 0:59:07] Adam: What I like about this book is it gives you little interesting stupid tidbits.
[0:59:07 – 0:59:10] Erik: Interesting slash stupid slash pointless?
[0:59:11 – 0:59:11] Adam: Yeah.
[0:59:12 – 0:59:13] Adam: Abita.
[0:59:13 – 0:59:14] Adam: Fish present.
[0:59:14 – 0:59:14] Adam: None.
[0:59:15 – 0:59:15] Adam: Access.
[0:59:15 – 0:59:16] Adam: BWCA.
[0:59:16 – 0:59:17] Adam: Facilities.
[0:59:17 – 0:59:17] Adam: No.
[0:59:17 – 0:59:18] Adam: Special remark.
[0:59:19 – 0:59:20] Adam: Stocking failed.
[0:59:20 – 0:59:20] Adam: Okay.
[0:59:20 – 0:59:21] Adam: Oh, my God.
[0:59:21 – 0:59:22] Adam: Stocking fail.
[0:59:22 – 0:59:24] Adam: Thanks.
[0:59:25 – 0:59:26] Adam: What do they say about Alton?
[0:59:27 – 0:59:31] Adam: Lake trout, northern, smallmouth, walleye, cisco, and rainbow trout.
[0:59:32 – 0:59:33] Adam: Access.
[0:59:33 – 0:59:34] Adam: Portage from Sawbill Lake.
[0:59:35 – 0:59:36] Adam: Facilities, campsites.
[0:59:37 – 0:59:38] Adam: Special remarks.
[0:59:38 – 0:59:40] Adam: Fast bass fishing.
[0:59:40 – 0:59:41] Adam: Walleyes at south end.
[0:59:42 – 0:59:43] Adam: Large lakers possible.
[0:59:43 – 0:59:44] Adam: There you go.
[0:59:46 – 0:59:48] Erik: That’s like the most detailed special remarks.
[0:59:48 – 0:59:49] Adam: That’s a pretty good special remark.
[0:59:49 – 0:59:50] Adam: My favorite part is the special remark.
[0:59:50 – 0:59:52] Adam: They tell you where specifically the walleyes are?
[0:59:52 – 0:59:53] Adam: On the south end.
[0:59:54 – 0:59:54] Adam: Yeah.
[0:59:55 – 0:59:56] Adam: Yeah, it’s pretty good.
[0:59:56 – 0:59:59] Adam: Yeah, I don’t know.
[1:00:00 – 1:00:04] Adam: If you haven’t seen this book, it’s neon yellow, and it’s available at the Ugly Baby Bait Shop.
[1:00:04 – 1:00:05] Adam: Is it still available?
[1:00:05 – 1:00:05] Adam: I don’t know, actually.
[1:00:05 – 1:00:11] Adam: I haven’t been in there in a while, but I got myself a first edition here signed by the Ugly Baby himself.
[1:00:13 – 1:00:17] Adam: All right, well, that ties us back up at two games apiece.
[1:00:17 – 1:00:19] Adam: Yes, it does.
[1:00:19 – 1:00:23] Adam: And it’s going back to your questions.
[1:00:24 – 1:00:26] Erik: 2-2, series tied.
[1:00:27 – 1:00:30] Erik: Things are going to start getting weird now.
[1:00:30 – 1:00:39] Erik: We have, and this one’s probably going to be in terms of subjectivity, probably.
[1:00:39 – 1:00:41] Adam: What’s your favorite color?
[1:00:41 – 1:00:42] Adam: No.
[1:00:42 – 1:00:44] Erik: No, not that one.
[1:00:44 – 1:00:46] Adam: Who invented the rocking chair?
[1:00:47 – 1:00:49] Adam: Definitely not the Chinese.
[1:00:49 – 1:00:49] Adam: Edison.
[1:00:51 – 1:00:51] Adam: Yeah.
[1:00:51 – 1:00:53] Adam: So what’s your strategy here now?
[1:00:53 – 1:00:56] Adam: Because I feel like I gave out two reasonable ones.
[1:00:57 – 1:00:59] Adam: I thought for sure you’re going to get that A-Lake one.
[1:01:00 – 1:01:04] Adam: So I only gave it to you because the Deep Lake one failed.
[1:01:04 – 1:01:08] Adam: Had you gotten the Deep Lakes one, I don’t think I would have given you the A-Lakes one right away at least.
[1:01:08 – 1:01:20] Erik: Yeah, I feel, and now that you’re bringing it back up and dredging up the memories, I am kind of disappointed that I didn’t go with Winchell, because Big Winchy is near and dear to my and your hearts, and I should have known.
[1:01:20 – 1:01:21] Adam: Yeah.
[1:01:22 – 1:01:27] Adam: Well, you know, I may have thrown that question at you thinking you’d go with Winchell, but maybe it wasn’t on there.
[1:01:27 – 1:01:28] Adam: You didn’t know.
[1:01:28 – 1:01:28] Erik: Yeah.
[1:01:29 – 1:01:29] Adam: All right.
[1:01:29 – 1:01:33] Adam: Well, I feel like all our questions so far have been pretty fair, though.
[1:01:33 – 1:01:33] Adam: I think so.
[1:01:33 – 1:01:38] Adam: I did test them out on people to see if they were… Because some of them, I was like, that’s too easy.
[1:01:38 – 1:01:41] Adam: But then I tested it, and people weren’t getting it right away.
[1:01:41 – 1:01:42] Adam: I was like, well, I don’t know.
[1:01:42 – 1:01:44] Adam: Maybe this is reasonable sometimes.
[1:01:44 – 1:01:55] Erik: Well, there is also the aspect of knowing and just seeing the flat line on the recording device of knowing nothing is being said, that you really should get your act together and put a guess out there.
[1:01:55 – 1:02:00] Adam: Yeah, I thought about bringing out a small sand timer and setting it in front of you.
[1:02:00 – 1:02:02] Erik: The little chess thing where you press the button.
[1:02:03 – 1:02:04] Adam: Yeah, yeah.
[1:02:05 – 1:02:26] Erik: um yeah i don’t know where i’m gonna go on this one i’m gonna there’s a part of me that doesn’t know if this is necessarily gonna work out at all so i might just wait on it uh so let’s do this one quaker oats instant oatmeal
[1:02:27 – 1:02:30] Erik: There are 24 flavors.
[1:02:31 – 1:02:32] Erik: Are there?
[1:02:32 – 1:02:32] Erik: Mm-hmm.
[1:02:33 – 1:02:34] Erik: You don’t get original.
[1:02:36 – 1:02:37] Adam: I wouldn’t even dream of it.
[1:02:37 – 1:02:46] Erik: Can you name four of the Quaker Oat Mouth Mixer style Riptop Instant Oatmeal flavors?
[1:02:46 – 1:02:47] Adam: Oh, my God.
[1:02:47 – 1:02:48] Adam: All right.
[1:02:48 – 1:02:49] Adam: Apples and Cinnamon?
[1:02:49 – 1:02:50] Adam: Got it.
[1:02:50 – 1:02:50] Adam: All right.
[1:02:50 – 1:02:51] Adam: That’s got to get it.
[1:02:53 – 1:02:53] Adam: But I don’t know.
[1:02:53 – 1:02:55] Adam: What do they call them?
[1:02:55 – 1:02:56] Adam: I know they, like,
[1:02:57 – 1:03:00] Adam: I mean, obviously, I think I’ll give it to you if you’re close enough.
[1:03:00 – 1:03:01] Adam: Okay.
[1:03:01 – 1:03:04] Erik: This isn’t a midnight steal scenario.
[1:03:06 – 1:03:07] Adam: At least I got apples and cinnamon.
[1:03:07 – 1:03:11] Adam: I will be able to sleep tonight no matter how poorly the rest of this category goes.
[1:03:11 – 1:03:13] Adam: Yeah.
[1:03:14 – 1:03:15] Adam: Maple syrup or maple?
[1:03:15 – 1:03:15] Adam: Maple.
[1:03:17 – 1:03:36] Erik: i i mean that is like the second main one maple and brown sugar maple brown sugar yeah yeah that’s those are the two i was gonna say those are the ones that come with the original automatically get those are the yeah those are the ones i was like he’ll get those if i give them original then it’s like all right pumpkin no no
[1:03:37 – 1:03:39] Adam: Pumpkin spice latte.
[1:03:40 – 1:03:41] Erik: Tis the season, Eric.
[1:03:41 – 1:03:42] Erik: Just pumpkin.
[1:03:42 – 1:03:44] Erik: Just the rind of pumpkin.
[1:03:44 – 1:03:45] Adam: That’s a two to one.
[1:03:46 – 1:03:46] Adam: Yeah.
[1:03:46 – 1:03:47] Adam: Oh, shoot.
[1:03:49 – 1:03:52] Adam: Yeah, I can’t say I dabble into too many mouth mixers.
[1:03:52 – 1:03:53] Adam: This is going to be tough.
[1:03:53 – 1:03:55] Erik: I was shocked at how many there were.
[1:03:55 – 1:03:56] Erik: How many are there?
[1:03:57 – 1:03:57] Erik: 26?
[1:03:57 – 1:03:57] Erik: 24.
[1:03:57 – 1:03:58] Erik: Jesus.
[1:03:59 – 1:04:04] Erik: And there might even be more if you want to get into the fine-tuned extra fiber.
[1:04:04 – 1:04:11] Adam: Okay, can I go with like, I’m probably going to get burned for getting too fancy, but strawberries and cream?
[1:04:11 – 1:04:28] Erik: you got it no way cream is one all right there’s a yeah yeah you got it banana just banana i might need you to be a little bit more specific if you want to just go with banana okay um
[1:04:30 – 1:04:32] Erik: Just imagine a plain banana.
[1:04:35 – 1:04:35] Adam: Banana split.
[1:04:36 – 1:04:36] Erik: No.
[1:04:37 – 1:04:37] Adam: Gosh.
[1:04:37 – 1:04:37] Adam: No.
[1:04:39 – 1:04:40] Adam: I’ll just tell you, it was banana nut.
[1:04:40 – 1:04:41] Adam: Banana nut?
[1:04:42 – 1:04:43] Adam: That’s so nasty.
[1:04:43 – 1:04:43] Adam: That’s 3-2.
[1:04:46 – 1:04:47] Adam: You need to get one more.
[1:04:47 – 1:04:50] Adam: One more for all the glory.
[1:04:50 – 1:04:51] Adam: I got to come up with this.
[1:04:52 – 1:04:54] Adam: I cannot believe there’s that many flavors.
[1:04:55 – 1:04:55] Adam: Lots of ands.
[1:04:56 – 1:04:57] Adam: Oh, that’s the problem.
[1:04:57 – 1:04:58] Adam: I know.
[1:04:58 – 1:04:59] Adam: That’s really the problem here.
[1:04:59 – 1:05:04] Erik: But you’ve named some things that are still in other flavors.
[1:05:04 – 1:05:05] Adam: I’ll tell you that much.
[1:05:07 – 1:05:10] Adam: Oh, no.
[1:05:13 – 1:05:14] Adam: Can I go with just vanilla?
[1:05:14 – 1:05:14] Adam: Yeah.
[1:05:16 – 1:05:19] Adam: I mean, you can be wrong, but… All right.
[1:05:20 – 1:05:21] Adam: I’m wrong.
[1:05:21 – 1:05:21] Adam: That’s 3-3.
[1:05:21 – 1:05:22] Adam: Yeah.
[1:05:22 – 1:05:37] Erik: Think about the cereal industry at large and how they take advantage of children and the flavors that may be presented to the children and the parents who are buying them.
[1:05:39 – 1:05:40] Adam: Now I’ve got one stuck in my head.
[1:05:40 – 1:05:43] Adam: I think you incepted me with a hint.
[1:05:43 – 1:05:44] Adam: I don’t know if I’ve helped or not.
[1:05:44 – 1:05:45] Adam: Yeah, it may have hurt.
[1:05:45 – 1:05:46] Erik: Sorry.
[1:05:48 – 1:05:50] Adam: I’m going to go with Honey Nut.
[1:05:51 – 1:05:53] Adam: Dude, Honey Nut Cheerios, and you just incepted me.
[1:05:54 – 1:05:54] Adam: No Honey Nut.
[1:05:55 – 1:05:56] Adam: God dang it.
[1:05:56 – 1:06:00] Adam: Anyways, I can’t believe there’s this many flavors of oatmeal.
[1:06:00 – 1:06:01] Adam: That’s a loss.
[1:06:01 – 1:06:02] Adam: Oh, damn.
[1:06:02 – 1:06:02] Adam: I thought that…
[1:06:02 – 1:06:02] Adam: Okay.
[1:06:03 – 1:06:03] Adam: That was four.
[1:06:03 – 1:06:03] Adam: Shoot.
[1:06:04 – 1:06:05] Adam: Honey Nut.
[1:06:05 – 1:06:07] Adam: I lost three, four on a heartbreaker.
[1:06:07 – 1:06:07] Erik: Yeah.
[1:06:07 – 1:06:09] Erik: So, yeah, you got apples and cinnamon.
[1:06:09 – 1:06:11] Adam: Yeah.
[1:06:11 – 1:06:12] Adam: Maple and brown sugar.
[1:06:12 – 1:06:14] Adam: You gave me maple and brown sugar without me saying brown sugar.
[1:06:14 – 1:06:15] Adam: I mean, this is the only maple category.
[1:06:15 – 1:06:17] Adam: So, if you said maple, I was going to give it to you.
[1:06:17 – 1:06:18] Adam: Okay.
[1:06:18 – 1:06:18] Adam: Okay.
[1:06:18 – 1:06:20] Erik: And what was the other one that you got?
[1:06:21 – 1:06:23] Adam: Berries and oats.
[1:06:23 – 1:06:24] Adam: No, strawberry and cream.
[1:06:25 – 1:06:29] Erik: Yeah, there’s also peaches and cream, blueberries and cream, and banana and cream.
[1:06:31 – 1:06:34] Adam: I literally would rather lose this whole game than eat banana and cream.
[1:06:34 – 1:06:36] Erik: Banana and cream oatmeal?
[1:06:36 – 1:06:36] Erik: Yeah.
[1:06:36 – 1:06:38] Adam: That sounds like the worst thing you could ever have.
[1:06:38 – 1:06:41] Erik: Apples and cranberries, cinnamon and spice.
[1:06:42 – 1:07:08] Erik: cranberry almond raisins and spice raisin date and walnut banana and maple coconut and caramel what blueberry strawberry blueberry cranberry cocoa and sea salt oh that one sounds good cocoa sea salt cocoa and there’s a s’mores one that was when i was trying to lead you down like the path of the kids that’s what you’re going after s’mores and cookies and cream
[1:07:10 – 1:07:15] Erik: Strawberry banana, and best of all, dinosaur eggs.
[1:07:16 – 1:07:16] Erik: Wow, all right.
[1:07:16 – 1:07:17] Erik: I would like to try that one.
[1:07:17 – 1:07:20] Erik: Those are the ones that have the little chocolate nuggets.
[1:07:20 – 1:07:21] Adam: I was thinking of one that was just called Nerds.
[1:07:23 – 1:07:24] Adam: Sugar balls?
[1:07:24 – 1:07:25] Adam: Yeah, just Nerds.
[1:07:25 – 1:07:29] Adam: Cookies and cream ice cream put into the… All right, fine.
[1:07:30 – 1:07:31] Adam: That’s three to you.
[1:07:31 – 1:07:32] Adam: This is not…
[1:07:33 – 1:07:34] Adam: I don’t like this.
[1:07:34 – 1:07:42] Adam: Now I’m in a must-win scenario, and then I have to win this and then kick you a fair category for the best of.
[1:07:42 – 1:07:43] Adam: I guess.
[1:07:43 – 1:07:44] Adam: This is not good.
[1:07:44 – 1:07:45] Adam: All right.
[1:07:45 – 1:07:49] Adam: I’m just… All right.
[1:07:49 – 1:07:49] Adam: I got to regroup.
[1:07:49 – 1:07:50] Adam: I’m ready.
[1:07:50 – 1:07:51] Adam: Let’s go.
[1:07:51 – 1:07:52] Erik: All right.
[1:07:52 – 1:07:54] Erik: Well, this one I feel like has the highest likelihood.
[1:07:55 – 1:07:58] Erik: It is a bit obscure, but there are 80 of these.
[1:08:00 – 1:08:00] Erik: These are… 80.
[1:08:00 – 1:08:01] Erik: 80.
[1:08:05 – 1:08:11] Erik: Outdoor dining products on the Coglins camping product website.
[1:08:11 – 1:08:12] Erik: Oh, my God.
[1:08:12 – 1:08:14] Erik: Outdoor dining.
[1:08:15 – 1:08:16] Erik: Tablecloths.
[1:08:17 – 1:08:20] Erik: Tablecloth combo pack is at the top of the list.
[1:08:20 – 1:08:21] Adam: Yeah.
[1:08:22 – 1:08:24] Adam: I wasn’t sure if I had to say like checkered tablecloth.
[1:08:24 – 1:08:25] Adam: No, I mean.
[1:08:25 – 1:08:25] Adam: All right.
[1:08:26 – 1:08:27] Adam: What about tablecloth clips?
[1:08:27 – 1:08:29] Adam: I mean, that comes in the combo.
[1:08:29 – 1:08:30] Adam: That is in the combo pack.
[1:08:30 – 1:08:30] Adam: Yeah.
[1:08:30 – 1:08:32] Adam: So it doesn’t count as a bad guess.
[1:08:32 – 1:08:33] Erik: No, it doesn’t.
[1:08:33 – 1:08:33] Erik: Okay.
[1:08:33 – 1:08:36] Erik: I think that the clips are probably also on the list.
[1:08:36 – 1:08:38] Adam: Can I go with salt and pepper shakers?
[1:08:38 – 1:08:38] Erik: Yes.
[1:08:39 – 1:08:41] Erik: Multi-grill shaker is on the list.
[1:08:41 – 1:08:41] Adam: Yes.
[1:08:42 – 1:08:42] Adam: All right.
[1:08:42 – 1:08:45] Adam: All right.
[1:08:45 – 1:08:47] Adam: Oh, boy.
[1:08:47 – 1:08:48] Adam: This is what we’d like.
[1:08:48 – 1:08:52] Erik: Literally, if these microphones weren’t here, we’d probably be doing the same thing.
[1:08:55 – 1:09:23] Adam: oh boy all right that’s two this is if i don’t get this one i swear um wait can you rephrase what is it just outdoor eating outdoor dining outdoor dining page on the coglins camping website of products that they provide okay but i mean does that include cookware that’s just for the dining section probably um can i just go with uh silverware
[1:09:25 – 1:09:25] Adam: Yes.
[1:09:25 – 1:09:26] Adam: All right.
[1:09:27 – 1:09:28] Erik: Nylon utensils.
[1:09:28 – 1:09:29] Erik: Nylon utensils.
[1:09:29 – 1:09:34] Erik: That probably cancels out like 20 other utensils.
[1:09:34 – 1:09:35] Adam: Yeah.
[1:09:35 – 1:09:36] Adam: Oh, boy.
[1:09:41 – 1:09:42] Adam: What else would you want?
[1:09:42 – 1:09:44] Adam: What else would you need?
[1:09:44 – 1:09:48] Adam: I’m just going to go with camp cup.
[1:09:50 – 1:09:52] Adam: Please, guys, have a win.
[1:09:52 – 1:09:54] Erik: Camp cup is collapsible.
[1:09:54 – 1:09:57] Erik: Camp cup, fold a cup.
[1:09:57 – 1:09:58] Adam: Non-foldable.
[1:09:58 – 1:09:59] Erik: So many cups.
[1:09:59 – 1:10:02] Erik: That was the one thing I was hoping for.
[1:10:02 – 1:10:10] Erik: When you were guessing, it would take away… Because there’s 80, but a guess takes away 20 out of the items.
[1:10:11 – 1:10:12] Adam: Alright, so I nailed it.
[1:10:12 – 1:10:12] Adam: Four zip.
[1:10:12 – 1:10:14] Adam: That was a blowout.
[1:10:14 – 1:10:16] Adam: That was some home shed right there.
[1:10:17 – 1:10:40] Adam: home shaking it back to game seven wow so i’m glad i came down to game seven now i have to pick a fair and fun category for game seven can you give me some other highlights on the coglins uh there’s a bottle carrier bottle carrier it just looks like a bunch of velcro tablecloth weights that are tablecloth weights you have little strawberries um
[1:10:41 – 1:10:43] Erik: There’s a Boda bag.
[1:10:43 – 1:10:49] Erik: There is a cooler dry, which I probably just need to turn this computer around and show you what it is.
[1:10:50 – 1:10:51] Erik: I was shocked you didn’t go with egg carrier.
[1:10:52 – 1:10:53] Erik: That’s not dining.
[1:10:53 – 1:10:55] Erik: What is cooler dry?
[1:10:55 – 1:10:56] Erik: Like, what is that?
[1:10:58 – 1:10:59] Adam: Oh, for dry ice.
[1:11:01 – 1:11:01] Erik: Oh, is that for…
[1:11:01 – 1:11:02] Erik: It’s a dry ice grabber.
[1:11:03 – 1:11:04] Erik: Oh, it’s a dry ice grabber.
[1:11:04 – 1:11:05] Erik: Okay.
[1:11:05 – 1:11:07] Adam: Yeah, that’s to keep your Chianti cold.
[1:11:08 – 1:11:08] Erik: The other…
[1:11:08 – 1:11:10] Erik: There’s also this whole…
[1:11:11 – 1:11:16] Erik: There’s the cast iron double camp cooker, and then there is the cast iron broiler and…
[1:11:17 – 1:11:43] Adam: double broiler double broiler wow we gotta get one of them it’s like a pudgy pie maker but it’s one of the sides has like vents oh my i don’t know if i’ve talked about this a lot but there’s like a whole like three year span of my boundary waters career where i only cooked in pudgy pie makers wow like white bread everything wonder bread and cheese and walleye and like cumin camp made hot pockets yeah
[1:11:45 – 1:11:47] Adam: All right, for all the marbles.
[1:11:48 – 1:11:52] Erik: It kind of seems crazy that it just comes down to just me versus you here at the end.
[1:11:52 – 1:11:59] Erik: I know if I lose, you win, but something about it doesn’t seem as even.
[1:11:59 – 1:11:59] Erik: I don’t know.
[1:12:00 – 1:12:01] Adam: But I am glad it went seven.
[1:12:01 – 1:12:09] Adam: I think I know which one I’m going to go with here, and I feel like this one’s pretty fair, and I’m going to go with it.
[1:12:12 – 1:12:18] Adam: And it has both Boundary Waters appeal and Show History appeal.
[1:12:18 – 1:12:23] Adam: There are six lakes in Cook County that allow whitefish or cisco netting.
[1:12:23 – 1:12:24] Adam: Can you name four?
[1:12:24 – 1:12:25] Erik: Well, I can for sure name one.
[1:12:25 – 1:12:26] Erik: Devil’s Track is one.
[1:12:26 – 1:12:26] Erik: That’s one.
[1:12:27 – 1:12:31] Erik: Because I did it, and if we did it illegally, we are on record doing it illegally.
[1:12:31 – 1:12:33] Erik: No, that one’s legal.
[1:12:33 – 1:12:33] Erik: Okay.
[1:12:33 – 1:12:35] Erik: Got it.
[1:12:35 – 1:12:35] Erik: Greenwood?
[1:12:35 – 1:12:36] Adam: Greenwood’s correct.
[1:12:37 – 1:12:37] Adam: That’s two.
[1:12:37 – 1:12:37] Adam: Six?
[1:12:40 – 1:12:40] Erik: Six.
[1:12:41 – 1:12:42] Adam: There’s six of them.
[1:12:42 – 1:12:42] Adam: Six?
[1:12:42 – 1:12:46] Erik: Wow.
[1:12:46 – 1:12:47] Erik: One of the lakes would have whitefish.
[1:12:47 – 1:12:50] Adam: I was hoping that there was going to be more of them.
[1:12:50 – 1:12:53] Adam: I knew this from the episode, but I went back and looked.
[1:12:53 – 1:12:54] Adam: There’s only six in Cook County.
[1:12:55 – 1:12:59] Erik: Six Cook County lakes that allow whitefish netting.
[1:13:01 – 1:13:02] Adam: Whitefish or Cisco.
[1:13:02 – 1:13:02] Adam: Okay.
[1:13:02 – 1:13:05] Adam: Greenwood, like you just did Greenwood, that is the Cisco.
[1:13:05 – 1:13:07] Adam: And I don’t know.
[1:13:07 – 1:13:12] Adam: In the regulations, it just lists as wide gauge or the 1.75.
[1:13:12 – 1:13:19] Erik: I know Clearwater was being considered to be opened up for Cisco netting, but I don’t think that has happened.
[1:13:20 – 1:13:24] Adam: I should preface this, but this is not current regs for 2022.
[1:13:24 – 1:13:26] Adam: This is based on, because they’re not out yet,
[1:13:27 – 1:13:31] Adam: They change those every year based on water temperatures and a lot of other factors.
[1:13:31 – 1:13:38] Adam: This is always based on the 2021 same data, though, that was used for the episodes on Whitefish Camp.
[1:13:38 – 1:13:39] Erik: Okay.
[1:13:40 – 1:14:04] Adam: all right i don’t know they might change it but yeah i did you did you name them all in the i think i did yeah i think they were named in those episodes too so that’s why i was like well there’s only six of them but i’m pretty sure i named them explicitly on the show but you weren’t on those episodes so like looking over on the map and it’s not helping yeah this one doesn’t i don’t think this matters to have the map there no
[1:14:05 – 1:14:06] Erik: Well, obviously, it has not really helped.
[1:14:06 – 1:14:09] Erik: I think I went 50-50 on having the map at my disposal.
[1:14:09 – 1:14:10] Adam: Well, you’re 2-0 right now.
[1:14:11 – 1:14:11] Adam: Yeah, I am.
[1:14:12 – 1:14:13] Adam: Ah, boy.
[1:14:17 – 1:14:18] Erik: What are the lakes?
[1:14:22 – 1:14:24] Erik: Northern… Oh, no.
[1:14:24 – 1:14:27] Erik: I don’t think that’s deep enough to even have either of those fish in it.
[1:14:28 – 1:14:32] Erik: I was going to say Northern Light, but I am not, for now, going to say that.
[1:14:34 – 1:14:34] Erik: Uh…
[1:14:38 – 1:14:41] Erik: I’m going to go ahead and say Loon again for another lake.
[1:14:41 – 1:14:43] Erik: No, Loon is not one.
[1:14:43 – 1:14:46] Erik: I was thinking that could be like a Cisco maybe.
[1:14:48 – 1:14:49] Adam: All right.
[1:14:49 – 1:14:50] Adam: God.
[1:14:50 – 1:14:51] Adam: How about Brule?
[1:14:52 – 1:14:52] Adam: Brule is one.
[1:14:52 – 1:14:53] Adam: That’s three.
[1:14:53 – 1:14:54] Adam: Okay.
[1:14:54 – 1:14:56] Adam: Brule, I believe, is a narrow gauge net.
[1:14:57 – 1:14:57] Adam: Oh, man.
[1:14:57 – 1:14:58] Adam: A three to one right now.
[1:14:58 – 1:15:02] Erik: This last one’s going to be… Just needs one more for the complete win.
[1:15:02 – 1:15:06] Erik: This last one’s going to be really hard, I think, because I have no idea where to even go.
[1:15:06 – 1:15:08] Erik: Where to even think.
[1:15:09 – 1:15:10] Erik: Boundary Waters?
[1:15:10 – 1:15:11] Erik: No.
[1:15:11 – 1:15:16] Erik: There’s only three more.
[1:15:16 – 1:15:17] Adam: Yeah, you got three.
[1:15:17 – 1:15:18] Adam: There’s only three more to go.
[1:15:19 – 1:15:20] Adam: All right.
[1:15:20 – 1:15:29] Erik: I’m going to guess this lake just because of some of the other things that I know are happening in this lake in terms of trapping and taking advantage of its resources.
[1:15:29 – 1:15:30] Erik: I’m going to say Pike Lake.
[1:15:33 – 1:15:33] Erik: Pike Lake?
[1:15:33 – 1:15:34] Erik: Pike, yes.
[1:15:35 – 1:15:35] Erik: Which Pike?
[1:15:35 – 1:15:37] Erik: Outside of the Boundary Waters, Pike Lake.
[1:15:38 – 1:15:39] Adam: Oh, down here?
[1:15:39 – 1:15:39] Erik: Yeah.
[1:15:40 – 1:15:40] Adam: This one?
[1:15:40 – 1:15:40] Erik: Yeah.
[1:15:41 – 1:15:42] Adam: No.
[1:15:42 – 1:15:42] Adam: Okay.
[1:15:42 – 1:15:42] Adam: No.
[1:15:42 – 1:15:43] Adam: All right.
[1:15:43 – 1:15:43] Adam: All right.
[1:15:43 – 1:15:49] Erik: I know that there is a new business that has started that is trapping rusty crayfish and selling them.
[1:15:49 – 1:15:49] Adam: Oh, really?
[1:15:49 – 1:15:51] Adam: Like Crawdaddy Boils?
[1:15:51 – 1:15:52] Adam: Yeah.
[1:15:52 – 1:15:54] Erik: Yeah, we’re serving them at the…
[1:15:55 – 1:15:55] Erik: The restaurant, yeah.
[1:15:55 – 1:15:56] Erik: Oh, all right.
[1:15:57 – 1:16:00] Adam: Wasn’t Deke doing that for a while at a Hungry Jack?
[1:16:00 – 1:16:01] Adam: He was just keeping them in a tank.
[1:16:01 – 1:16:03] Adam: Personal cry daddies.
[1:16:03 – 1:16:05] Erik: All right, so that’s three, two.
[1:16:07 – 1:16:08] Erik: This is a straight up guess.
[1:16:08 – 1:16:09] Erik: I’ll say Gunflint.
[1:16:09 – 1:16:09] Erik: No.
[1:16:10 – 1:16:10] Erik: Okay.
[1:16:10 – 1:16:10] Adam: No.
[1:16:10 – 1:16:11] Adam: Oh, my God.
[1:16:11 – 1:16:13] Adam: I thought this was a shoo-in for you.
[1:16:13 – 1:16:13] Adam: The last one?
[1:16:14 – 1:16:15] Adam: Well, this is it.
[1:16:15 – 1:16:15] Adam: The last guess.
[1:16:15 – 1:16:18] Adam: You got three possibilities.
[1:16:18 – 1:16:18] Erik: What did I say?
[1:16:18 – 1:16:22] Erik: Greenwood, Brule, and Devil’s Track.
[1:16:22 – 1:16:23] Erik: Devil’s Track.
[1:16:23 – 1:16:23] Erik: Yeah.
[1:16:23 – 1:16:23] Erik: Okay.
[1:16:26 – 1:16:29] Erik: I do not like that you said it was a shoe-in.
[1:16:29 – 1:16:32] Erik: There’s a glaring omission that I’m not seeing here.
[1:16:32 – 1:16:35] Adam: Because it was on the episode.
[1:16:35 – 1:16:36] Erik: No, I know, but…
[1:16:37 – 1:16:39] Erik: That was a year ago.
[1:16:39 – 1:16:39] Adam: I know.
[1:16:39 – 1:16:43] Adam: It was a little sneaky in that way, so it wasn’t a shoe-in at all.
[1:16:43 – 1:16:44] Adam: Otherwise, I wouldn’t have asked it.
[1:16:44 – 1:16:47] Adam: I just felt like it was my most fair question I had left.
[1:16:47 – 1:16:49] Erik: Well, I mean, it’s come down to the last one.
[1:16:49 – 1:16:50] Erik: It’s not like I’m getting smoked here.
[1:16:50 – 1:16:51] Adam: Yeah, no.
[1:16:51 – 1:16:52] Adam: I mean, it’s a 3-3.
[1:16:52 – 1:16:57] Adam: In a 3-3 battle, I am on the edge of a goddamn seat right now.
[1:16:57 – 1:17:01] Erik: It’s almost like it’s been scripted, but I can assure you, ladies and gentlemen…
[1:17:01 – 1:17:03] Adam: This has gone better than we could have imagined.
[1:17:03 – 1:17:04] Erik: Yeah, this really has.
[1:17:04 – 1:17:05] Erik: I mean, I’m sure you are all just…
[1:17:06 – 1:17:08] Erik: They’re all screaming out.
[1:17:08 – 1:17:15] Erik: Yeah, there’s a fork up to your mouth right now with a delicious piece of steak on it that you’re holding off on just to wait to see if I get this answer right.
[1:17:15 – 1:17:16] Adam: Bananas and maple steak.
[1:17:18 – 1:17:19] Erik: Yeah, dinosaur bites.
[1:17:20 – 1:17:21] Adam: Peaches and dinosaur bones.
[1:17:22 – 1:17:23] Adam: Bananas and steak.
[1:17:25 – 1:17:25] Erik: Oh, my God.
[1:17:26 – 1:17:30] Erik: No, I mean, it’s going to be a miracle if I get this.
[1:17:32 – 1:17:34] Adam: Whitefish netting.
[1:17:35 – 1:17:36] Erik: Legal.
[1:17:36 – 1:17:37] Erik: Or Cisco.
[1:17:38 – 1:17:38] Erik: Right.
[1:17:38 – 1:17:39] Erik: All right.
[1:17:39 – 1:17:43] Erik: I’m just going to say I was going to say Clearwater, and then I didn’t want to.
[1:17:43 – 1:17:45] Erik: But then you emphasize the fact that these are from 2020.
[1:17:45 – 1:17:45] Erik: 2021.
[1:17:45 – 1:17:45] Erik: 2021.
[1:17:46 – 1:17:48] Erik: I don’t think that there was any legal netting out on Clearwater.
[1:17:55 – 1:17:59] Erik: I can’t even think of any other lakes that would really have a population that would be worthwhile.
[1:18:02 – 1:18:03] Erik: Cascade.
[1:18:04 – 1:18:04] Adam: No, sir.
[1:18:05 – 1:18:06] Erik: Was Clearwater on the list?
[1:18:06 – 1:18:08] Adam: No, it wasn’t Clearwater.
[1:18:08 – 1:18:08] Adam: All right.
[1:18:11 – 1:18:12] Adam: East Pike.
[1:18:12 – 1:18:13] Adam: Never would have gotten that.
[1:18:13 – 1:18:14] Adam: East Pike.
[1:18:14 – 1:18:14] Adam: Never.
[1:18:14 – 1:18:15] Adam: That’s crazy.
[1:18:15 – 1:18:16] Adam: Why is that on the list?
[1:18:16 – 1:18:18] Adam: I don’t know why that one’s on the list.
[1:18:18 – 1:18:21] Adam: The Caribou by Clearwater is allowed.
[1:18:22 – 1:18:22] Erik: Oh.
[1:18:23 – 1:18:24] Erik: And I think we did talk about that.
[1:18:24 – 1:18:25] Erik: We definitely did.
[1:18:25 – 1:18:26] Erik: Okay.
[1:18:26 – 1:18:31] Adam: And how you could go to the narrows between the two sections of that Caribou and get them.
[1:18:32 – 1:18:35] Adam: And the one I thought you were for sure going to get was Poplar.
[1:18:35 – 1:18:36] Erik: Oh.
[1:18:36 – 1:18:36] Erik: Poplar.
[1:18:37 – 1:18:37] Adam: Poplar.
[1:18:38 – 1:18:39] Erik: Yeah, I don’t know.
[1:18:39 – 1:18:40] Erik: I don’t think I would.
[1:18:40 – 1:18:41] Erik: All right.
[1:18:41 – 1:18:44] Erik: Poplar’s a big whitefish netting lake.
[1:18:44 – 1:18:50] Erik: I am upset that I lost, but I’m not upset that I didn’t get any of those three.
[1:18:51 – 1:18:54] Adam: Yeah, well, that’s why I was like, well, there’s only six of them.
[1:18:54 – 1:19:05] Adam: I am asking for four, which is a lot, but I was like, the East Pike and Caribou one I could see being not there, but I thought the other four were pretty reasonable to get.
[1:19:05 – 1:19:06] Adam: So I was like, I think it’s fair to get those four.
[1:19:06 – 1:19:07] Adam: No, that was a good one.
[1:19:08 – 1:19:16] Adam: And if you like have somehow like you’d filed that away in your brain, I definitely, we definitely talked about all six on the whitefish tracks.
[1:19:17 – 1:19:20] Adam: But I thought we talked about that caribou one a lot too.
[1:19:20 – 1:19:21] Adam: Like we should try that someday.
[1:19:21 – 1:19:22] Erik: Yeah.
[1:19:22 – 1:19:22] Erik: I don’t know.
[1:19:22 – 1:19:23] Adam: I do remember that.
[1:19:23 – 1:19:27] Adam: I was like, he might, I think he’s going to get this one, but I had some other ones that were more obscure.
[1:19:27 – 1:19:30] Adam: I had some other categories that had nothing to do with the boundary waters at all.
[1:19:30 – 1:19:31] Adam: Oh yeah.
[1:19:31 – 1:19:35] Adam: I wanted to finish it on something that was like, you know, BWCA related.
[1:19:35 – 1:19:39] Erik: Yeah, if there is a part two, it’s definitely going to be much more obscure than that.
[1:19:39 – 1:19:46] Erik: I feel like we hammered… Well, I guess mine skewed a little more towards podcast lore.
[1:19:47 – 1:19:49] Adam: I didn’t get to any of my Great Lakes freighter questions.
[1:19:50 – 1:19:53] Adam: Oh, freighters.
[1:19:53 – 1:19:54] Erik: Yeah, yeah.
[1:19:55 – 1:19:58] Adam: I am really mad I messed up the Rapala question, honestly.
[1:20:00 – 1:20:02] Adam: That one, again, that and the cookies and cream.
[1:20:02 – 1:20:07] Adam: It’s like I can picture them, but I don’t know what they’re actually called, that kind of stuff.
[1:20:08 – 1:20:08] Adam: So that was fun.
[1:20:09 – 1:20:34] Erik: yeah exactly like uh i think it i mean honestly you couldn’t have asked for a better resolution it didn’t just end in four one way or the other i psyched eric out by walking into the shed with a huge stack of maps and books with edward abby’s desert solitaire on top with a brief he thought for sure i was gonna be asking him all sorts of questions about canyon lands but i did not yeah no i i have some questions about uh wilderness areas and uh
[1:20:36 – 1:20:37] Adam: And the like, but…
[1:20:37 – 1:20:39] Adam: I thought you were probably going to hit me with some Wabakimi.
[1:20:39 – 1:20:43] Adam: I was studying up on Wabakimi portage lengths before we came in here.
[1:20:43 – 1:20:46] Adam: Yeah, that was going to be one of my, like… Name the longest portage in Wabakimi.
[1:20:47 – 1:20:51] Erik: I was going to do… Don’t give it away, because we can save these, too.
[1:20:51 – 1:20:51] Adam: Well, no, I know.
[1:20:51 – 1:21:01] Erik: But the one that was going to do, like, if we really needed to just, like, okay, this is going horribly, I was going to do, like, name four of the named portages in Quetico or something like that.
[1:21:01 – 1:21:02] Erik: Yeah.
[1:21:02 – 1:21:03] Erik: I mean…
[1:21:03 – 1:21:30] Adam: that’s a a generally like easy concept but i feel like uh yeah we both kind of figured it out based on having no frame of reference besides listening to half hour of a hockey podcast honestly when you told me about the idea at first i was like i don’t know how that’s gonna work at all i had nothing for like days yeah and then i think the first good one i came up with was the lakes that named like i pulled out that lake book and i was like
[1:21:30 – 1:21:58] Adam: oh there’s only 10 in this book let’s start with a yeah and i know four of them for sure i think he’ll get but like maybe not and then i asked a few people and nobody could get alton yeah so i don’t know maybe he you know just in the heat of the moment won’t be able to pull alton from the brain but you did get that one but that was the first question i was like okay i think i understand how i need to like work these yeah like make them make them fit the best of seven category uh like format
[1:21:58 – 1:22:12] Erik: Yeah, sort of like, all right, let’s have like two easy ones, one that’s kind of easier, and then like the fourth one should be like the thinker, and if you get it, you deserve the win sort of an idea.
[1:22:13 – 1:22:15] Erik: I kind of like the concept, and when I heard it, I was like, wow.
[1:22:16 – 1:22:17] Erik: This is…
[1:22:17 – 1:22:29] Erik: I mean, I think the way that that is based on stats is a little bit different, but the way that it’s translated into some of the Boundary Waters and Tumble Home fact and lore was kind of fun.
[1:22:29 – 1:22:32] Adam: I didn’t realize how deep Gabba Michigame was.
[1:22:33 – 1:22:33] Adam: Man.
[1:22:33 – 1:22:36] Adam: I didn’t realize how deep Saginaw was either, though.
[1:22:37 – 1:22:37] Adam: 280.
[1:22:37 – 1:22:38] Erik: Yeah.
[1:22:38 – 1:22:41] Erik: I was always like, well, there’s a bunch of islands, but then there’s that massive…
[1:22:42 – 1:22:46] Erik: I mean, it’s technically in Canada, but I’m sure that’s probably where the 280 is.
[1:22:46 – 1:22:46] Erik: Right.
[1:22:46 – 1:22:48] Erik: It’s way up in Canada.
[1:22:48 – 1:22:49] Erik: Yeah.
[1:22:49 – 1:22:53] Erik: Yeah, I should have… Man, I should have gone for Winchell.
[1:22:54 – 1:22:55] Adam: It was there.
[1:22:55 – 1:22:55] Adam: It was in my head.
[1:22:56 – 1:22:57] Adam: That was the one I regret the most.
[1:22:57 – 1:22:59] Adam: Tuscarora was right there, too, though.
[1:22:59 – 1:23:00] Adam: It was like number 10 on the list out of…
[1:23:04 – 1:23:04] Adam: There you go.
[1:23:04 – 1:23:07] Adam: Well, that was a real hoot.
[1:23:07 – 1:23:09] Adam: I still have some of this beer left from Ted.
[1:23:10 – 1:23:11] Adam: Actually, this is my last sip, I think.
[1:23:11 – 1:23:13] Erik: I’ve got like two big sips here, Ted.
[1:23:14 – 1:23:14] Adam: Thanks, Ted.
[1:23:18 – 1:23:19] Erik: Ted.
[1:23:21 – 1:23:24] Adam: First ever episode of Tumble Trivia coming to you live from the shed.
[1:23:24 – 1:23:26] Adam: It’s been a real hoot.
[1:23:26 – 1:23:30] Adam: I don’t know what this Inner Grove crawler is with the number 100, but
[1:23:31 – 1:23:36] Adam: Yeah, I think it was more of just a pale ale, I would say, not a session.
[1:23:37 – 1:23:40] Adam: That had some serious 6.6 energy behind it.
[1:23:40 – 1:23:42] Erik: Something about it, it’s hazy to me.
[1:23:42 – 1:23:44] Erik: I wish we could have poured it into a glass.
[1:23:44 – 1:23:46] Erik: Is it fully in a can?
[1:23:46 – 1:23:50] Adam: Yeah, we have a couple of mugs out here, but it’s hard to see into a mug.
[1:23:50 – 1:23:52] Erik: Yeah, from the top down.
[1:23:52 – 1:23:53] Erik: I have no idea.
[1:23:54 – 1:23:59] Erik: But yeah, that was, I think, a great success in terms of a series and a battle.
[1:24:00 – 1:24:02] Erik: It will be the first of many.
[1:24:02 – 1:24:03] Erik: The first of many.
[1:24:03 – 1:24:05] Erik: Yeah, that’s all this show is now.
[1:24:06 – 1:24:07] Erik: We’ve had such a good time with it.
[1:24:07 – 1:24:09] Erik: We’re just going to keep doing trivia now.
[1:24:09 – 1:24:11] Erik: Well, everybody loves trivia.
[1:24:11 – 1:24:12] Erik: Everybody does love trivia.
[1:24:12 – 1:24:18] Erik: I’m sure there was multiple people screaming at home at times, but I like to think that you probably learned something.
[1:24:18 – 1:24:29] Erik: And I definitely know I still have some categories in my holster, and I’m sure after a week in the wilds, I will come up with many more.
[1:24:29 – 1:24:30] Erik: For sure.
[1:24:30 – 1:24:34] Erik: Remains to be seen, if you were listening to this on September 18th or 19th,
[1:24:37 – 1:24:47] Erik: Of 2022, whether or not there will be an episode the week after, just based on schedules, timing, Quetico-related.
[1:24:47 – 1:24:49] Adam: We will be on the radio, though.
[1:24:49 – 1:24:51] Erik: Yes, September 24th.
[1:24:51 – 1:24:53] Adam: The triangle table is back.
[1:24:53 – 1:24:56] Erik: Yeah, the triangle will be, we’re going to expand it.
[1:24:56 – 1:25:03] Erik: We’re going to pull a couple of legs out, expand it, and there will be multiple people at the table next week on WTIP.org.
[1:25:03 – 1:25:05] Erik: 7 to 10 PM.
[1:25:05 – 1:25:06] Erik: 7 to 10, if you’re in the community.
[1:25:07 – 1:25:07] Erik: Central.
[1:25:08 – 1:25:09] Erik: 90.7 FM.
[1:25:09 – 1:25:11] Adam: Over the air, you freaks.
[1:25:12 – 1:25:14] Adam: We’re going to have some live music, probably some stories.
[1:25:15 – 1:25:16] Adam: Live music, stories.
[1:25:16 – 1:25:20] Adam: We’re going up against Bon Iver, so we’re probably just going to talk the whole time.
[1:25:20 – 1:25:21] Adam: Probably, yeah.
[1:25:21 – 1:25:24] Adam: Only play like four or five songs, but tune in.
[1:25:24 – 1:25:28] Adam: We don’t accept calls, but you can text us on the DMs.
[1:25:29 – 1:25:34] Erik: If you’re listening to this and all of a sudden a week goes by and an episode doesn’t come out, don’t fret.
[1:25:34 – 1:25:38] Erik: It’s just kind of the nature of…
[1:25:39 – 1:25:44] Erik: We thought maybe we would do two of these trivias tonight, but it’s gone a little late.
[1:25:44 – 1:25:46] Erik: It’s getting dark.
[1:25:46 – 1:25:47] Erik: Well, it is very dark.
[1:25:47 – 1:25:50] Erik: It’s dark, and I have to drive home in the fog.
[1:25:50 – 1:25:57] Adam: I got to work real early, so this is only one episode tonight, but it’s been a real hoot.
[1:25:57 – 1:26:00] Adam: And, yeah, you never know how the field audio is going to pan out.
[1:26:00 – 1:26:10] Adam: So hopefully there’s an episode, or it might be two weeks, but for sure you can catch us on the live radio next Saturday, or I guess it’s just called Saturday at this point.
[1:26:10 – 1:26:12] Adam: Set a calendar alert for September 24th.
[1:26:14 – 1:26:20] Adam: And, yeah, I look forward to, that’ll be the next time I get to see Eric, I think.
[1:26:21 – 1:26:21] Adam: I think, yeah.
[1:26:22 – 1:26:23] Adam: Who knows?
[1:26:23 – 1:26:24] Adam: God hopes.
[1:26:24 – 1:26:25] Erik: Winds willing.
[1:26:25 – 1:26:31] Erik: Yeah, so Monday, the last time I checked the forecast, sunny, calm, Cache Bay crossing.
[1:26:31 – 1:26:34] Erik: Will not take my life for the 12th time I’ve crossed that mother…
[1:26:38 – 1:26:46] Erik: And I hope to find myself a week from today crossing it again safely for the last time.
[1:26:47 – 1:26:49] Erik: Not forever, but for the time being.
[1:26:49 – 1:26:50] Erik: For sure this year.
[1:26:51 – 1:26:56] Erik: And yeah, I’m sure we will have many tales to tell and we’ll see what the field mic does.
[1:26:56 – 1:26:58] Erik: It just might be me screaming.
[1:27:00 – 1:27:01] Adam: Just going to be all elocutions.
[1:27:01 – 1:27:05] Adam: I hope we get some bonus audio from the other members of the party, though.
[1:27:06 – 1:27:13] Adam: And I can’t wait to find out what happens up on Key Watton, what happens between here and there and there and here.
[1:27:14 – 1:27:25] Erik: The false chain, it’s not to draw this episode out into anything more than what it already has been in terms of trivia, but the older you get…
[1:27:27 – 1:27:44] Erik: I feel like there’s fewer and fewer days or moments in your life that elicit the same excitement as those days of youth, Christmas, vacations, just things that felt special that you got excited for leading up to.
[1:27:45 – 1:27:49] Erik: And the Boundary Waters still does it for me for sure.
[1:27:51 – 1:27:58] Erik: But something about Quetico, and it’s been pre-COVID, whatever, the last time we were up there together, three years now.
[1:28:00 – 1:28:14] Erik: And especially to be taking out a couple of good friends of ours that have never been, to have that vicariousness to live through them, to show them things, and then also just for myself to get back finally…
[1:28:15 – 1:28:39] Erik: and the weather looks like it’s going to be mostly reasonable um it’s been a long time since i’ve been this excited about anything and uh yeah it’s it’s keeping me from stropping the razor and drawing a warm path hey you got the twinkle in your eye yeah the falls chain though man which one’s the tallest of the falls there’s a trivia for you go i don’t know old rock kenny boss
[1:28:39 – 1:28:41] Erik: Oh, boy.
[1:28:41 – 1:28:42] Adam: I can’t believe we get to go back to Kenny.
[1:28:42 – 1:28:44] Adam: Are you going to stay on Kenny, you think?
[1:28:44 – 1:28:44] Erik: I don’t know.
[1:28:44 – 1:28:47] Erik: We’ve got an early morning tow.
[1:28:47 – 1:28:50] Erik: That’s a long day, though, to get all the way to Kenny.
[1:28:50 – 1:28:51] Erik: Yeah, it would be a long day.
[1:28:51 – 1:28:55] Erik: And that’s one of those things where you want to try to decide, do I want to just blast through the falls chain?
[1:28:55 – 1:28:59] Erik: Do I want to set up and then have a day to kind of leisurely enjoy it?
[1:29:00 – 1:29:06] Erik: But based on the forecast, the first two, three days of the trip might be the best to put some miles behind us.
[1:29:07 – 1:29:07] Erik: I don’t know.
[1:29:07 – 1:29:09] Erik: I think it’s just going to be like we always do out there.
[1:29:09 – 1:29:12] Erik: Kind of just go with the flow.
[1:29:12 – 1:29:21] Erik: And yeah, I hope to bring back at the very least some stories that I can share with you and you all out there.
[1:29:21 – 1:29:34] Erik: And hopefully at the very most, we do pull the field mic out and record a couple of, I’m sure what will end up being some good stories from the trail.
[1:29:35 – 1:29:35] Erik: And with that,
[1:29:37 – 1:29:39] Erik: We bid you…
[1:29:43 – 1:29:51] Erik: Adieu and arrivederci and a happy paddling and… What’s the other one?
[1:29:52 – 1:29:53] Adam: We love you very much.
[1:29:54 – 1:29:55] Adam: We love you very much.
[1:29:55 – 1:29:57] Adam: Thanks for being here.
[1:29:57 – 1:29:58] Erik: And thanks for being here.
[1:29:58 – 1:30:03] Adam: For Tumble Home, a Boundary Wanderers podcast coming to you live from the shed of trivia.
[1:30:04 – 1:30:06] Adam: Recurrent trivia champion…
[1:30:07 – 1:30:09] Adam: Yeah, you are currently the trivia champion.
[1:30:09 – 1:30:11] Adam: And the trivia master, Eric.
[1:30:11 – 1:30:12] Adam: Good night.
