“Nature’s way of saying, SUPRISE! I am leaving this here forever.” Geologically speaking, a glacial erratic is a big ol’ boulder transported miles and miles by a glacier during the last Ice Age. The ice melts, the rock stays, and now it sits there confusing everyone as to where it came from. It’s like running into a old friend at Zups whose wildly out of context but, you are thrilled to see them anyway.
